🤖 Robotics Workshop for the Students of Holy Family Convent, Dehiwala! 🚀

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology, The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) successfully conducted an engaging Robotics Workshop for the students of Holy Family Convent, Dehiwala.

The workshop provided students with an exciting opportunity to explore the world of Robotics, Mechatronics, and Automation through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities.

🤖 Bringing Mobile Robotics to Life!

We are excited to introduce our Mobile Robotics Educational Platform, developed to provide students with hands-on experience in the design, programming, sensing, control, and navigation of mobile robots.

This robot will be used for laboratory practicals in the Mobile Robotics course, giving students the opportunity to move beyond theory and experiment with real robotic systems.

🌱⚡ OUSL Steps into Hydrogen Technologies! ⚡🌱

Hands-on Innovation in Electrolyzers & Fuel Cells for a Sustainable Energy Future

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology, The Open University of Sri Lanka, is excited to introduce a new laboratory facility for hands-on learning and experimentation in Hydrogen Energy Technologies.

With the addition of advanced Electrolyzer and Fuel Cell experimental systems, students will gain practical exposure to the complete hydrogen energy cycle — from green hydrogen production through water electrolysis to clean electricity generation using fuel cells.

This facility will support the upcoming course module DMS6213 – Hydrogen Technology and Fuel Cell, providing students with practical knowledge and skills in next-generation sustainable energy technologies.

Through this initiative, OUSL continues to strengthen engineering education, research, and innovation while preparing graduates for the emerging global hydrogen economy.
