This Year we learnt the core rituals of Hajj and the importance of the celebrating Hajj!

Tawaf: Walking counter-clockwise seven times around the Kaaba, the cube-shaped structure at the center of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, which Muslims face daily during prayer.

Sa'i: Walking or running seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa, reenacting Hajar's desperate search for water for her infant son Ismail before the miraculous Zamzam well emerged.

The Day of Arafat: Spending an afternoon on the plain of Mount Arafat in deep prayer, repentance, and reflection. This is considered the pinnacle and most essential day of the entire pilgrimage.
Muzdalifah: Collecting pebbles under the night sky to use for the next ritual.

Rami al-Jamarat (Stoning of the Devil): Throwing the collected pebbles at three large pillars in the city of Mina, symbolizing the rejection of temptation and evil.

Eid al-Adha: Marking the conclusion of the main rituals, pilgrims perform an animal sacrifice (or purchase a voucher for one) to feed the poor, commemorating Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. Men then shave their heads and women trim a lock of hair to symbolize spiritual rebirth and a fresh start.

Ultimately, Hajj is intended to be a deeply transformative spiritual journey that purifies the soul, wipes away past sins, and fosters a profound global sense of unity among Muslims.
