What is Media?
Media are tools used to store and deliver information or data.
Mass media is a form of mass communication that conveys information, opinion, advocacy, propaganda, advertising, artwork, entertainment, and other forms of expression to a large audience. It includes print, radio, television, film, video, audio recording, and the Internet. Mass media organizations have been criticized for alleged liberal or conservative bias in their reporting on important political, economic, and social issues.

I. Print Media (Newspapers, Magazines)
**Newspapers
Newspapers are a major source of information for a large number of readers, providing detailed coverage of news and other information at a low cost.
**Magazines
Magazines are specialized advertising media that serve educational, informational, entertainment, and other needs, and can be classified into local, regional, national, or weekly/monthly/quarterly magazines.
II. Broadcast Media (TV, Radio)
**TV
TV is an authoritative, influential, exciting medium for reaching large audiences, combining visual images, sound, motion and colour, but is intrusive in nature.
**Radio
Radio is a popular mass medium with a wide reach and offers selectivity, cost efficiency and flexibility. Ad effectiveness depends on the script, accompanying sounds and level of distortion.
III. Outdoor or Out of Home (OOH) Media
Advertisers use billboards to generate reach, frequency, and sales.
IV. Internet
Internet is a global medium for exchanging information, advertising, and providing a sophisticated user interface. It is accessible to anyone with a computer and broadband connection.
