That’s fantastic! 🎉 Congratulations to S. Aatheesan from the Northern Chess Academy for officially entering the international chess rating list.

Standard Rating: 1476

Blitz Rating: 1604

This is a huge milestone—earning an international rating means his games are now recognized globally, and it reflects the hard work, consistency, and competitive spirit he’s shown. Blitz especially demands sharp instincts and quick calculation, so crossing 1600 there is impressive.

Moments like these are not just personal victories but also a proud achievement for the academy, showing how its players are steadily making their mark on the international stage.

That’s wonderful news! 🎉 Huge congratulations to Xavier, Thamiliny Francis from the Northern Chess Academy in Sri Lanka for achieving her FIDE rating milestone of 1598 STANDARD It’s a proud moment both for her and for the academy—every rating point reflects dedication, discipline, and countless hours of practice.

Chess is such a demanding sport, and reaching this level shows she’s building strong foundations for even greater achievements ahead. The Sri Lankan chess community has been steadily growing, and players like Thamiliny are inspiring the next generation to aim higher.
