Empowering Digital Education at St. Mary's College, Kegalle
Under the Commercial Bank CSR Initiative, a state-of-the-art computer laboratory was officially inaugurated at St. Mary's College, Kegalle on 15 July 2026. As part of this generous project, valued at approximately LKR 4 million, the Bank donated 20 computers along with the necessary desks and chairs to the school's Technology Faculty, significantly enhancing its ICT learning facilities.
The event was graced by Mr. Pradeep Fernando, Regional Manager – North Western Province, Commercial Bank, as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were Mr. Idunil Athapaththu, Branch Manager – Commercial Bank, Kegalle Branch; Mr. Neil Walipitiya, Assistant Executive of the Kegalle Branch and a proud alumnus of St. Mary's College; Mr. Neranjan Wimalarathna, Assistant Executive of the Kegalle Branch; together with the Principal, Deputy Principals, members of the academic staff, and invited guests.
St. Mary's College extends its sincere appreciation to Commercial Bank for its invaluable contribution towards strengthening technology education and creating better learning opportunities for our students.
