THE RIWĀYAT PROJECT | EP. 01

The Riwāyat Project was initiated in 2024 as a concert series was due to many reasons SASANI Institute was unable to start the concert. Until the stage performances start, this project is about the musical heritage taken forward by the young generations in their own visions keeping the spirituality and the emotional aspects. In a world where war and crime are at a high rate, we are trying to bring peace through music and spirituality. Our motive is not to surpass anyone, just to give people hope!

First episode is about the Krishna Līlā - Hōrī. The traditional lyrics was composed in to a semi-classical musical piece in Rāga Mishra Tilakkāmōd. I have personally chose the voice which has the resonance for the meaning and the genre.

Stay with us to listen to more!

• Special thanks to Lokesh Ji and Hemangini Ji for including me in the organizing process on national level thanks to the Presidency I was given by Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad organization.
• I was fortunate to meet Guru Ji for the very first time and get his blessings at Ramboda Hanuman Temple and also at Seethaeliya Seetha Amman Temple.
• I was asp fortunate to sing in-front of him with my students of SASANI Institute For Music , a few bhajans and receive his compliments.
• Before his departure for the flight yesterday, I was blessed to receive personal blessings and Arji from him to direct my life on a more meaningful way with guidance!
• He also invited me and the team to Bageshwar Dham to sing again for him and we are waiting for that with hope!

Meloncholy on Mandra Bahār (Badā Esrāj) ! 🌸🪷❤️‍🩹

Took out the biggest of the family. Someone can call it the Cello of India if needed. This has been sitting inside my instrument room for years without getting any sunlight. Today I thought of posting a small improvisation on this rare instrument.

I want you all to suggest a nick name for this instrument!

Sometimes you need a little contrast and black in your life. If not people will say you are all white and good. Then again stab in your back gossiping that he also has little black spots on his white cloth.
So, open your eyes and see, I am all black ! 😎
