Seethadevi Girls College has started as a primary school in 18th January 1980 at Pushparama temple Mulgampola, Kandy. The first principal was Miss. The first staff was,
Mrs. Sumana Perera. N.S. Jayawardana
Mrs. S.Bogahawatta. Mrs. E.K. Wijesundara. The staff and Mr. and Mrs. Dissanayaka have helped them from the beginning. The school was opened by the governor of the North Central Province – E.L.

මම නුවර. මගේ ඉස්කෝලේ සීතාදේව් බාලිකාව. මම ජිව්තේ වැඩ්පුරම සතුටු වුනේ මගේ ඉස්කෝලකාලේ. මන් හිතනවා ඔයලත් එහෙමයී කියලා. ඒ කාලේ තමයී අපේ මනස නිදහස්ම කාලේ.
හැබැයී මේ ෆොටෝ එකේ තියෙන්නේ මගේ ඉස්කෝලේ ටයි එකවත් ඒ යුනිෆොම් එකවත් ඒ සපත්තුවත් ඒ රිබන්වත් නෙවෙයි. මගේ ඉස්කෝලේ මගේ ටයි එකට සපත්තු වලට රිබන් , යුනිෆොම් එකට මන් මාර ආදරෙයි. ඒවා ලස්සනයි🌸 (මට අනුව) මන් මගේ ඉස්කෝල හැම බිම් අගලකටම ආදරෙයි. ඒ හැම බිම් අගලකම අපේ හුස්ම තියනවා.
මම ඒ කාලේ දග ළමයෙක්... පිස්සියක් කීවොත් නිවැරැදි. හැබැයි ඉගෙනගත්තා. ළමයෙක් ව්දිහට සිසුව්යක් ව්දිහට මන් පුළුවන් උපරිමෙන් ඉස්කෝලේට කීර්තියක් අරන් එන්න ඒ කාලේ උත්සාහ කරා. ඒවා සාර්ථක වුනා. ඉතින් නිහතමානීව සතුටක් තියනවා.
අදටත් බස් එකේ ඉස්කෝලේ ලගින් යනකොට ඉබේම නැගිට්ටෙනවා. එදා වගේම ඉස්කෝලේ ලගින් පයින් යනකොට ගේට්ටුව ලග දනගාලා වදිනවා. මාව හැදුවේ මාව හැඩුවේ මගේ ඉස්කෝලේ. මන් හිතනවා ඔයලාටත් එහෙමයි කියලා. එදා වගේම අදත් මන් ඒ ගුරැවරැන්ට පින් දෙනවා. මගේ දගවැඩ ඉවසලා මාව හරිපාරේම යැව්වට.
ගුරැවරැන්ට පුළුවන් ළමයින්ව හරිපාරේ යවන්නත් වැරදි මග යවන්නත්. මගේ ඉස්කෝලේ හිට්යේ අපිව හරි පාරේ යවන ගුරැවරැ. ඒ ගුරැවරැ අද වෙන වෙන පාසල්වල අපි වගේම ළමයින්ට ජිව්තේ දෙනවා ඇති. අවුරැදු ගානකින් ඉස්කෝලේ ඇතුලට ගිහින් නෑ. මන් දන්නවා ගේට්ටුවෙන් ඇතුල්වෙන දවසට මට ඇඩෙයී.... 🥹
මොකද මට ඒ පාසල් කාලේ ආයෙත් ඕනී. ඒ හැමදේමත් එක්කම
