When it comes to today, most people are struggling with focusing and stress , but they don’t know how or why. Because of social media and mobile phones. Our brain is equal to a computer. There is a certain limit for getting information through the five senses. According to psychology, the brain gets information through a selective process for perception.

Because getting huge amounts of information can lead to an overloaded brain, that is why the brain selects information for perception. But through social media, the brain is fed a lot of information. Thousands of contents are received by the brain. This leads to a stuck and overloaded brain. Neurobiology says the brain is a kind of creature of habits.

If you have a habit of waking up with your phone and social media in the morning, and going to sleep with your phone and social media, these habits can have a high impact on your discipline, focus, consistency and brain capacity β€” and ultimately reduce your quality of life.

If you are struggling with focus and stress, identify you are overloading with social media. Content with short time duration (1-2 minutes), just like TikTok or YouTube Shorts content, is highly harmful to your brain due to the constant scrolling.
Because you are getting a lot of content within a short time period. However, I want to say β€” be careful with your habits with mobile phones and social media, and protect your brain.

Don’t use your mobile phone one hour before going to sleep and one hour after waking up. Limit your time duration with social media.

Instead of that, you can read a book, do journaling before you go to bed, and you can do deep breathing practice, stretching exercises, or gratitude journaling after waking up.
