The Center for Excellence is launched under Trinity's Sesquicentennial Anniversary agenda, with a vision of, "Soaring beyond childhood dreams." The CFE aspires to create an environment of sharing best practices and opportunities in the academic and corporate spheres, build trust among students and parents to embrace the rapidly emerging higher educational changes with agility. It seeks to provide guidance and direction in exploring individual potential, inculcate the habit of life-long learning driven by a thirst for self-development with the aid of customized personal development plans and instill and drive values that are expected from a socially responsible, empowered citizen of this millennium. The CFE will further extend its services towards promoting the commercially viable properties of Trinity College by engaging in marketing and branding initiatives, event planning and management, leveraging on social and digital media activities, developing academically beneficial partnership and relationship management initiatives. Overall, the CFE will act as a catalyst of change to transform students who are at the threshold of entering adulthood, from the automated, mechanistic, standardized and qualification seeking education model Sri Lanka is burdened with to a more creative, self-exploratory, curiosity-driven, self-fulfilling form of knowledge-seeking that will help sustain a holistic living experience as adults. Trinity College Center for Excellence [CFE] together with the Career Guidance & Development Unit of the OBA - Colombo, is introducing an important service to the young school leavers of the College. The CFE is facilitating the students who are aspiring to find employment after their College education, by sharing their CVs with the OBA network, which will identify job opportunities based on the students' preferences, skills, achievements, and qualifications. You can be a job seeker just after your A/Ls or a full-time student looking for part-time employment, a part-time student looking for regular employment, or an undergraduate seeking an internship, etc.. Once you register yourself with the CFE, we will keep your CVs live in our databases and share the CVs with potential employers and/or OBA members whose details are channeled by the Career Guidance & Development Unit of the Colombo OBA.
