A basic question of geometry related with the perimeter and the shortest distances from a point inside the equilateral triangle to each side of the triangle.

The shortest distance from a point inside the equilateral triangle to a side is a perpendicular line to the side.
So, the perimeter of the equilateral triangle is the total of shortest distances from the point inside the equilateral triangle.
