The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) marked its presence at the Distance Learning Center in Sri Lanka through active engagement in discussions focused on higher education development and international academic collaboration. Mr. M.A. Ahamed Mifras, LL.M, Chairman of the International Campus for Higher Studies, participated in the session and highlighted the importance of expanding access to quality higher education through distance and transnational learning initiatives.
The discussion explored opportunities for Sri Lankan students to pursue internationally recognized academic programs, pathways for academic progression, and potential collaborations between institutions. Emphasis was placed on future-oriented education, global academic standards, and strengthening cross-border educational partnerships. The interaction reaffirmed VIT’s commitment to supporting international students and enhancing higher education opportunities through innovative and flexible learning models.
