Spelling Bee Success 🐝✨

We are incredibly proud to share that our students participated in the Spelling Bee Competition held at Lyceum International School on the 14th of March.

Their hard work and dedication truly paid off — with 8 Gold 🥇, 2 Silver 🥈, and 4 Bronze 🥉 awards achieved!

✨ 31st Founders’ Day Celebration ✨

Our 31st Founders’ Day was proudly celebrated on the 16th of February with great joy and enthusiasm. We were honored to have Mrs. Fathima Farzana Gouse as our Chief Guest, who thoughtfully evaluated each class and awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for their wonderful efforts.

The celebration became even sweeter as our children shared sweets among themselves, spreading happiness, unity, and the true spirit of togetherness. 💛

New students were enrolled to Nursery in January and were getting adjusted to CIS environment. As per the final program of this process a celebration was conducted on Tuesday the 3rd of February.

Achievers’ Day a new concept introduced in 2025 was staged this year too. The new students and the parents were celebrities. The primary students entertained with dances. Attractive tokens made by the teachers were gifted to the kids. Our ex-headmistress Ms. Zeenath Shamila graced the occasion. It would be a memorable day for the kids as they begin their journey of school.

To mark the 78th Sri Lanka’s Independence Day, Crescent celebrated the event filled with speeches dances and dramas. Competitions held on Art and Dramas were great success.

Ms. Aala Ikrima of grade 2 had grabbed the 3rd Place at Funlaaza Art Competition held on 2nd October 2025.

She was awarded on the 25th Jan 2026 with a voucher worth of Rs. 6000. Additionally the school received a seesaw for the school play ground. Mr M R Yusuf attended on behalf of the school.

A teachers’ workshop on Essay Writing was conducted on Friday, 6th February, led by A. Hanny F. Rihama (BA in English). A former English instructor at the University of Peradeniya, former teacher at Al Azhar, SLTS II, and a sworn translator, she shared practical and effective strategies for teaching essay writing to young learners.
