UCMAS Abacus பயிற்சி மாணவர்களுக்கு பல நன்மைகளை வழங்குகிறது, குறிப்பாக அவர்களின் எண்ணியல் திறன்களை மட்டுமல்லாமல், மூளையின் இரு பக்கங்களையும் (left & right brain) ஒரே நேரத்தில் செயல்படுத்த உதவுகிறது. இதோ அதன் முக்கிய நன்மைகள்:

1. மூளை மேம்பாடு (Brain Development):
வலதுபக்க மூளையின் (Right Brain) செயற்பாடுகள் அதிகரிக்கின்றன – படைக்கலை, கற்பனை, காட்சியளிப்பு திறன்.

இடது பக்க மூளை (Left Brain) – தருக்கம், கணிதம், தரவுகள் ஆகியவற்றை மேம்படுத்துகிறது.

2. கணிதத் திறன் மேம்பாடு:
எண்ணிக்கைகள், கூட்டல், கழித்தல், பெருக்கல், வகுத்தல் போன்ற அடிப்படை கணிதங்களை வேகமாகவும் சரியாகவும் செய்வதற்கான திறன்.

கணிதம் மீதான பயம் குறைகிறது.

3. ஓர மனக்குவிப்பு (Concentration):
பல பணிகளை ஒரே நேரத்தில் கவனித்தல், மனதைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தல் திறன் வளர்கிறது.

4. ஈடுபாடு மற்றும் நினைவாற்றல்:
மாணவர்கள் காட்சிகளை நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொண்டு கணிதம் செய்வதால் ஞாபக சக்தி அதிகரிக்கிறது.

5. தன்னம்பிக்கை மற்றும் ஆளுமை வளர்ச்சி:
"Mental math" மூலம் கணிதம் செய்யும் திறன், பொதுநிலையில் பேசும் திறனை வளர்க்கிறது.

6. பாடத்திட்டத்திற்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட அனுபவம்:
பள்ளியில் காணப்படாத விதமான கற்றல் சூழ்நிலையை வழங்குகிறது.

7. மிகச் சிறிய வயதிலேயே திறமையை உருவாக்குதல்:
4 வயதிலிருந்து பயிற்சி துவங்கலாம் – ஆரம்பத்திலேயே துல்லியமும் நுட்பங்களும்.
