I am proud to inform everyone that our two footballers V.Abishen and J.Harris have been selected to the under 20 national team.The team will be leaving to Nepal on this coming Friday to take part in the SAARC football tournament.Its a remarkable achievement Abishan brother Vignesh too to represent the National under 19 football team four years back.Vignesh is our present under 15 coach.My best wishes and good luck to our two footballers who brought glory to our Almamater.

Sad day for Jaffna Central College .An iconic figure from Jaffna Central Late Mr Erhirveerasingam brought Jaffna Central’s name in sports to the wider world in the 50’s long before other sports achievement of our Alma mater . He won the Gold Medal at the 1958 Tokyo Asian Games, which was the first Gold Medal of any kind for Sri Lanka . Our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family at this difficult time. May his soul Rest In Peace.🤎🙏💙

இன்றைய கால கட்ட சமுதாயத்தின் மனங்களில் பெருதும் பெருமை கொள்ளாத அந்த பெருந்துடுப்பாட்டத்தின் பெறுமதி அன்று எம் நாடி நரம்புகளில் எல்லாம் வியாபித்திருந்த காலம்.
30 ஆண்டுகளை (19/03/1994)பின் நோக்கிப் பார்க்கின்றோம். 1970 ம் ஆண்டிற்குப்பிறகு 24 வருடங்களாய் எட்ட முடியாத வெற்றியை எம் முன் நிறுத்திய மணிவதன்ன் தலைமையிலான 1994 அணி.

நான்கு பெரும் தூண்களாய் அணியை தாங்கிக்கொண்ட ஆகாஷ், மனிவதனன், சுரேஸ், சதீஸ் ஆகிய வீரர்களோடு மேலும் பலம் சேர்ப்பதற்காய் தம்மைத் தயார் படுத்திய ரவிசங்கர்,அமலன்,குமரேசன்,ராஜ்,பிரகாஷ்,திலீபன்,சீலன் என அணி அமைந்த விதம் மத்தியின் கொடியை கம்பீரமாய் பறக்கச்செய்தது..

என்றும் பெருந்துடுப்பாட்டச்சமரில் கல்லூரியின் வர்ணங்களால் தன்னை அலங்கரித்து மைதானத்தில் கம்பீரத்தோற்றத்தோடு வலம் வரும் செல்வா அண்ணாவின் பின்னே நாமும் பாய்ந்து மைதானத்திற்குள் ஓடுகிறோம் ரவிசங்கர் அண்ணா அடித்த அந்த 4 ஓட்டம் எல்லைக்கோட்டை கடக்கும் முன்னதாகவே..
