Hikkaduwa Sri Sumangala College

Hikkaduwa Sri Sumangala College, a proud government school with a rich history, was established in 1870.10.16 as the Hikkaduwa Bilingual Boys' School (1863) near Galle Road in the central of Hikkaduwa town. On March 12, 1944, under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble C. Kannangara, it was named one of the first 54 Central Colleges, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's education history.
