Welcome to English with Wasana Lokugamage – a trusted place to learn English in Sri Lanka. Our classes range from Nursery and Grade 1 to Grade 10, and also include Cambridge English Exam preparation (Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET). Our founder, Wasana Lokugamage, is a Cambridge-qualified English teacher who is also studying for her MBA. She be
gan her career as a state-trained teacher and later became a businesswoman, running her own English learning institute. This page is a part of her mission to make quality English education easy and accessible. What We Do
We offer a friendly, simple and effective approach to English learning:
Children’s Classes – fun lessons, phonics, reading and writing skills, grammar practice. Cambridge Exam Classes – Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET with worksheets, mock tests and tips. Special Grammar Courses – for older students who need a fast boost before exams. Digital + Physical Classes – attend from home or visit our classroom. Our teaching combines traditional lessons with activity-based learning so that children learn naturally. We use songs, games, visuals, and simple examples so every student feels confident. Wasana started as a government-trained teacher. She completed several diplomas in education and the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). She later joined the British Council Colombo to prepare students for Cambridge English exams. With more than 10 years of teaching experience, she now runs her own institute and trains assistant teachers. She is passionate about leadership, communication, and innovation. She believes that teaching is more than lessons – it is about changing lives and giving children confidence for the future. Our Team
