Following the spirited competitions held on the 26th of January, the Awarding Ceremony for the Art, Poetry, Free-verse, and Essay competitions was held on February 2, 2026, at the school premises.

The event served as a platform to recognize and reward the creative talents of our Junior and Senior Scouts who eloquently expressed their love for the motherland under the theme of "National Heroes and Patriotism." The ceremony, organized by the School Scout Masters and the Senior Scout body, celebrated the dedication of the 79 participants who honored our nation's 78th year of independence through their artistic and literary contributions.

Commemoration of the 169th Birth Anniversary of Baden-Powell.

The Bandaranayake College Scout Group commemorated the 169th Birth Anniversary of Lord Baden-Powell, the Founder of the Scout Movement, with a meaningful ceremony at the college.

The event included the laying of a floral wreath and lighting of candles in front of his portrait as a mark of respect and gratitude for his great contribution to Scouting worldwide.

To honor his legacy, a Sandalwood tree was planted in the college premises. In addition, all Scouts planted trees at their homes, showing their commitment to protecting the environment.

The program reflected the true spirit of Scouting — leadership, service, and responsibility towards nature and society.

බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලයේ බාලදක්ෂ සමුහය විසින් ලෝක බාලදක්ෂ ව්‍යාපාරයේ නිර්මාතෘ බේඩ්න් පවල් සාමිතුමාගේ 169 වන ජන්ම දිනය අනුස්මරණය අර්ථවත් අයුරින් විද්‍යාල පරිශ්‍රයේදී සිදුකරන ලදී.

මෙම වැඩසටහනේදී එතුමාගේ ඡායාරූපය වෙත පුෂ්පෝපහාර දක්වමින් එතුමා ලෝකවාසී තරුණ තරුණියන්ගේ වෙනුවෙන් සිදුකරන ලද අගනා සේවයට ගෞරවය හා කෘතඥතාවය පළ කරන ලදී.

එතුමා සිදුකරන ලද සේවාව ගෞරවයෙන් සිහිපත් කිරීම සඳහා විද්‍යාල පරිශ්‍රයේ සදුන් ගසක් රෝපණය කරන ලදී. එමෙන්ම සියලු බාලදක්ෂයන් විසින් තම නිවෙස්වල ගස් රෝපණය කරමින් පරිසර සංරක්ෂණයට ඇති කැපවීම ප්‍රකාශ කළහ.

මෙම වැඩසටහන බාලදක්ෂ ව්‍යාපාරයේ සැබෑ අර්ථය — නායකත්වය, සේවය සහ පරිසරය හා සමාජය පිළිබඳ වගකීම — පැහැදිලිව ප්‍රකාශ කළ අවස්ථාවක් විය.

බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලයීය බාලදක්ෂ සමූහයේ බාලදක්ෂයින්ගේ කුසලතා වර්ධනය උදෙසා සංවිධානය කරන ලද සුවිශේෂී ඡායාරූපකරණ වැඩමුළුව 2026 පෙබරවාරි 02 වන දින විද්‍යාල පරිශ්‍රයේදී ඉතා සාර්ථකව පවත්වන ලදී.

මෙම වැඩමුළුව සමූහයේ ආදි බාලදක්ෂයෙකු වන ප්‍රවීණ ඡායාරූප ශිල්පී සමිඳු සංකල්ප මහතා විසින් මෙහෙයවන ලදී. බාලදක්ෂ ව්‍යාපාරයේ විවිධ වැඩසටහන් සහ විශේෂ අවස්ථාවන් වඩාත් නිර්මාණාත්මකව මෙන්ම තාක්ෂණිකව නිවැරදිව කැමරා කාචයට හසුකර ගන්නා ආකාරය පිළිබඳව මෙහිදී ප්‍රායෝගික පුහුණුවක් ලබා දුන් අතර, එළිමහන් ක්‍රියාකාරකම්වලදී වෘත්තීය මට්ටමේ ඡායාරූපකරණයේ නියැලෙන ආකාරය පිළිබඳව බාලදක්ෂයින් හට මනා දැනුමක් ලබා දෙන ලදී.

The Bandaranayake College Scout Group successfully held a specialized Photography Workshop on February 2nd, 2026, at the college premises, aimed at sharpening the creative skills of our young scouts.

The workshop was conducted by Samindu Sankalpa, a distinguished Old Scout of our group and a professional photographer. He shared his expertise through a hands-on training session, teaching scouts how to capture scouting events and outdoor adventures with technical precision and creative vision. It was an inspiring session where the legacy of scouting met the art of modern photography.

78 වන ජාතික නිදහස් දින සැමරුම - 2026

2026.02.04 වන දිනට යෙදී තිබෙන 78 වන ජාතක නිදහස් දිනයට සමගාමීව ගම්පහ බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලීය බාලදක්ෂ සමූහයේ බාලදක්ෂයන් අතර ජාතික වීරයන් හා ජාතිකත්වය පිළිබිඹු වන පරිදි චිත්‍ර, කවි, නිසදැස් හා රචනා තරගාවලියක් 2026.01.26 වන දින විද්‍යාලයේදී පැවැත්වූ අතර ඒ සඳහා කනිෂ්ඨ හා ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ බාලදක්ෂයින් 79 දෙනකු සහභාගි විය.

මගපෙන්වීම මත විද්‍යාලයේ බාලදක්ෂ ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩලය හා ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ බාලදක්ෂයන් විසින් මෙම තරගාවලිය සංවිධානය කරන ලදී.

78th Independence Day Celebration - 2026

“In line with the 78th National Independence Day falling on 04.02.2026, an art, poetry, free-verse, and essay competition under the theme of National heroes and Patriotism was held among the Bandaranayake College Scout Group on 26.01.2026 at the school. A total of 79 Junior and Senior Scouts participated in the event.

The competition was organized by the school Scout Masters and Senior Scouts under the guidance of the District Commissioner, Mr. Sanjeewa Dayananda.

The Scout Group of Bandaranayaka College successfully conducted a one-day Training Programme for Scouts on 15 January 2026.

The programme was organized to refresh scouting knowledge, strengthen basic skills, and prepare scouts for upcoming activities.

Scouts participated actively under the guidance of Scout Leaders, reflecting discipline and commitment to the values of the Scouting.

The Scout Group of Bandaranayake College organized a Bodhi Pooja Pinkama to mark the successful commencement of the New Year work programs on 15 January 2026.

The event was attended by Scout Leaders and Scouts, with the intention of invoking blessings for the success of scouting activities and the well-being of all members, including the Principal, Teachers and Staff.

The program was conducted in a calm and respectful manner, reflecting the values and discipline of the Scout Movement.
