✨ SMTI Sinhala & Tamil New Year Celebration 2026 ✨

A day filled with joy and laughter! ❤️
On the 19th of April 2026, SMTI Galle came alive with vibrant Awurudu celebrations, bringing everyone together like one big family.

From a beautifully arranged Awurudu table filled with traditional sweets 🍬🍰 to exciting games that kept the energy high all day long, every moment was unforgettable!

We enjoyed fun filled activities like 🐝 Honey Bee, 🏺 Lucky Pot, 💪 Tug of War, a🎶 Musical Chairs, creating memories full of smiles, teamwork, and friendly competition.

It was even more special to have our SMTI Colombo staff members join us, making the celebration bigger, brighter, and more meaningful 🤝✨

This wasn’t just a celebration — it was a reflection of unity, culture, and happiness shared together 💫

An esteemed alumnus of St. Peters College, Colombo 04 (Gampaha Branch), his departure marks a significant achievement in his maritime career.

He stands as the 12th Cadet from Navigation Officer Cadet Batch 03 at the Southern Maritime Training Institute (SMTI) to embark on an international vessel, adding to the growing legacy of the institute.

This milestone is a testament to his unwavering discipline, hard work, and technical proficiency. Through rigorous training and a deep-rooted passion for navigation, he has prepared himself for the complexities of the maritime world.
