Lesson -03 (part – 03)

NEGATIVE and INTERROGATIVE FORMS of ‘HAVE,HAS, HAD’

(HAVE, HAS, HAD භාවිතයේ ‘නැත අර්ථය’ සහ ‘ප්‍රශ්නාර්ථය’)

*have හෝ has ප්‍රධාන ක්‍රියාපදය ලෙස භාවිත වන අයිතිය හඟවන වාක්‍ය ‘නැත’ අර්ථයෙන් පැවසීමේදී do, does පද දෙකින් එකක් උප ක්‍රියාවක් ලෙස ගෙන not සමග යෙදේ. මෙහිදී කිසි විටෙක has නොයෙදේ.

I have a car.
I do not have a car.
He has a camera.
He does not have a camera.

*I, we, you, they ඇතුළු සියලු බහුවචන සමග ‘do’ යෙදේ.
*He, she, it ඇතුළු සියලු ඒකවචන සමග ‘does’ යෙදේ.

We do not have a long life span. (දිගු ජීවිත කාලයක්)
They do not have chidren.

My brother does not have a house of his own. (ඔහුටම අයත් නිවසක්)

*do not, does not දෙක don’t, doesn’t ලෙස කෙටි කළ හැක. කතා කිරීමේදී වැඩිපුරම භාවිත වන්නේ ඒවාය.

My brother doesn’t have a house of his own.

They don’t have children.

*have got, has got භාවිතයේ ‘නැත’ අර්ථය පැවසීමේදී do, does යෙදෙන්නේ නැත. එහිදී have not got, has not got වශයෙන් have සහ has පදවලට ඉදිරියෙන් not යෙදී ඊළඟට got යෙදේ.
මේවා භාවිත වන්නේ haven’t got, hasn’t got වශයෙන් කෙටි යෙදුම් හැටියටය.

*I have got a motor bike.
I haven’t got a motor bike.

*Our father has got a three wheeler
Our father hasn’t got a three wheeler.

It’s a nice house but it hasn’t got a garden. (= It doesn’t have a garden.)

*This child has got a satisfactory level of English.
(සතුටුදායක මට්ටමේ ඉංග්‍රීසි දැනුමක් )
This child hasn’t got a satisfactory level of English.

*INTERROGATIVE FORM. (question form)

ප්‍රශ්න නැගීමේදී පළමු ක්‍රමය කර්තෘ පදයටත් මුලින් DO හෝ DOES යෙදීමෙන් ප්‍රශ්න තැනිය හැක.දෙවන ක්‍රමයේදී කර්තෘටත් මුලින් have හෝ has යෙදේ.

*You have fond memories of your childhood.
ඔබට ඔබේ ළමා කාලය ගැන හොඳ මතකයක් තිබෙනවා.
Do you have fond memories of your childhood ?
ඔබට ඔබේ ළමා කාලය ගැන හොඳ මතකයක් තිබෙනවද ?

*You have got fond memories of your childhood.
ඔබට ඔබේ ළමා කාලය ගැන හොඳ මතකයක් තිබෙනවා.
Have you got fond memories of your childhood ?
ඔබට ඔබේ ළමා කාලය ගැන හොඳ මතකයක් තිබෙනවද ?

Have you got an umbrella with you?
ඔබ ළඟ කුඩයක් තියෙනවද?

Have you got a passport?
ඔබට විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්‍රයක් තියෙනවද?

Have you got a pen pal?
ඔබට පෑනේ මිතුරෙක් සිටිනවද?

Has your father got a trading business?
ඔබේ තාත්තට වෙළඳ ව්‍යාපාරයක් තියෙනවද?

Has her family got a lot of maney?
ඇගේ පවුලට ගොඩ සල්ලි තියෙනවද?

Has she got an attractive appearance?
ඇයට සිත් ඇදගන්නා පෙනුමක් තියෙනවද?

Lesson – 03 (part – 02)

HAVE, HAS, HAD – VS - IS, ARE, WAS, WERE

තිබේ, තිබෙනවා, සිටී, සිටිනවා,සිටියා, තිබුණා යන ක්‍රියාපද සිංහලයෙහි යෙදෙන සෑම තැනකටම ඉංග්‍රිසියේදී HAVE, HAS, HAD පද ගැලපෙන්නේ නැත. එම පද යෙදෙන්නේ ‘අයිතියක්’ හැඟවෙන අවස්ථාවලදී පමණි. අයිතියක් නොහැඟවෙන තැන්වලදී යෙදෙන්නේ IS, ARE, WAS, WERE, පදයන්ය.

මට, මගේ කාමරයේ පොත් රාශියක් තිබේ.
I have a lot of books in my room. (පොත් මට අයිති බව මෙහි හැඟවේ.)

මගේ කාමරයේ පොත් රාශියක් තිබේ.

(මෙහි අයිතියක් හැඟවෙන්නේ නැත. පැවසෙන්නේ පොත් තිබෙන බව පමණි. මෙය පැවසීමට භාවිත කරන්නේ අප මුලින් ඉගෙනගත් There is / There are … යන යෙදුමයි. ඉහත වාක්‍යය අපි ලියන්නේ මෙසේ ය.

There are a lot of books in my room.
අපේ පාසලට බොහෝ පහසුකම් තිබේ. (ඒවා පාසලට අයත්ය.)
Our school has many facilities.
අපේ පාසලේ බොහෝ පහසුකම් තිබේ. (අයිතියක් හැඟවෙන්නේ නැත.)
There are many facilities in our school.
අපේ රටට බොහෝ ඇලදොළ ගංගා සහ කඳු තිබේ.
*Our country has many streams, rivers and mountains
අපේ රටේ බොහෝ ඇලදොළ, ගංගා සහ කඳු තිබේ.
There are many rivers and mountains in our country
මට, මගේ හිතේ බොහෝ පැතුම් තිබෙනවා.
*I have many wishes in my mind
මගේ හිතේ බොහෝ පැතුම් තිබෙනවා.
There are many wishes in my mind.

SIMPLE FUTURE (SHALL, WILL)

‘තිබෙනු ඇත , සිටිනු ඇත, ලැබෙනු ඇත’ යන තේරුම් ඇති අනාගත කාලය හැඟවීම සඳහා SHALLහෝ WILL සමග ‘HAVE’ භාවිත වෙයි.

I shall have a new car next year.
මට ලබන වසරේ අලුත් කාරයක් ලැබෙනු ඇත.
I will have a new car next year.
මට ලබන වසරේ අලුත් කාරයක් ලැබෙනු ඇත.

SHALL, WILL වචන දෙක අතර දැන් ලොකු වෙනසක් සැලකෙන්නේ නැත. දැන් මේ දෙකම නොයොදා සර්වනාම පද සමග වැඩිපුර භාවිත වන්නේ උක්තය සමග ’ll කෙටි යෙදුමයි. යෙදුවත් shall යොදන්නේ I, WE පද දෙක සමග පමණි. අනිකුත් සාමාන්‍ය නාමපද සමග will පමණක් යෙදේ.

මට ලබන වසරේ අලුත් කාරයක් ලැබෙනු ඇත.
He’ll have his final exam at the end of this year.
ඔහුට ඔහුගේ අවසන් විභාගය මේ වසර අවසානයේ තිබෙනු ඇත.
She’ll have a good chance to go abroad next December.
ඇයට විදේශ ගතවීම සඳහා හොඳ අවස්ථාවක් ලබන දෙසැම්බරයේ ලැබෙනු ඇත.
Our sister will have a good life partner.
මගේ සහෝදරියට හොඳ ජීවිත සහකරුවකු ලැබෙනු ඇත.
Sri lanka will have more challenges in the future.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට අනාගතයේදී තව අභියෝග තිබෙනු ඇත.
They will have a brilliant future.
ඔවුන්ට දීප්තිමත් අනාගතයක් තිබෙනු ඇත.

(තිබූ අධික අවිවේකී බව නිසා, පසුගිය කෙටි කාලයක් තුළ පාඩම් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම මා අතින් අතපසු විය. ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් මගේ අනුගාමික සහෘදයින්ට කණගාටුව පළ කරනු කැමැත්තෙමි. පාඩම් නැවතුණු තැන් සිට යළි පිළිවෙළකට පාඩම් ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට අදහස් කරමි.)

(Because of the excessive restlessness, I missed the presentation of the lessons in the last short period of time. I would like to apologize to my followers for that. I intend to present the lessons again in order from where the lessons stopped. Let’s begin the lesson 3 now.)

LESSON - 03 (part - 01)

The use of HAVE , HAS, HAD as the main verb.

HAVE පදය වාක්‍යයක ප්‍රධාන ක්‍රියාපදයක් හැටියට භාවිත කරනවිට එය සිංහලයෙහි ‘ අයිතිව තිබෙනවා’ යන්නට සමානය. ආහාරපාන, විවේකය වැනි දේ ‘ ගන්නවා’ යන අදහස දීමට ද HAVE යෙදේ
We have a good country. (අපට හොඳ රටක් තිබෙනවා.) මෙහි අදහස හුදෙක් ‘තියෙනවා’ යන අදහස නොව ‘අයත්ව තිබෙනවා’ යන්නයි.

Let’s have a cup of tea. (අපි තේ කෝප්පයක් ගනිමු.) මෙහි ඇත්තේ බොමු යන අදහසයි.

You must have a little rest. (ඔබ පුංචි විවේකයක් ගත යුතුයි.)

HAS යනු HAVE පදයේ ඒක වචනයයි. HAD යනු ඒ පද දෙකේම අතීත පදයයි. HAS , HAD පද දෙකම සෑදී ඇත්තේ HAVE පදයේ අග VE අකුරු දෙක ඉවත්වී S සහ D අකුරු අගට එකතු වීමෙනි.

( HAS > තිබේ, තිබෙනවා, සිටී, සිටිනවා, ඉන්නවා, ... HAD > තිබිණ, තිබුණා, සිටියා.

මට ඉලක්කයක් තිබෙනවා.
I have a goal.
ඔබට වැඩ ගොඩක් තිබෙනවා.
You have a lot of work.
අපට සාර්ථක සැලැස්මක් තිබෙනවා.
We have a successful plan.
ඇයට පශ්චාත් උපාධියක් තිබෙනවා.
She has a postgraduate degree.
අපේ තාත්තට ගොවිපලක් තිබෙනවා.
Our father has a farm.
ඔබේ අම්මාට ඉවීම ගැන හොඳ පළපුරුද්දක් තියෙනවා.
Your mother has good experience in cooking.
අපේ ලොක්කට මාර මතකයක් තියෙනවා.
Our boss (chief) has a great memory. (remembrance)
එයාලට පුත්තු හතර දෙනෙක් සහ දුවක් ඉන්නවා.
They have four sons and a daughter.
මේ ගෙදරට ලොකු ගෙවත්තක් තිබෙනවා.
This house has a big garden.
මගේ ළඟ පොඩි බඩුවක් තියෙනවා.
I have a little thing with me.

අතීතය දැක්වීමේදී ‘අයත්ව තිබුණා, අයත්ව සිටියා,’ යන්න ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම සඳහා HAD යෙදේ. ඒකවචන බහුවචන භේදයක් නැත.

මට ඒ කාලෙ හොඳ යාලුවෙක් හිටියා.
I had a good friend then. (at that time)
අපේ ගමට හොඳ පාසලක් තිබුණා.
Our village had a good school.
අපේ රටට සැබෑ ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රසිද්ධියක් තිබුණා.
Our country had a real international fame.
මට රෝද තුනේ සයිකලයක් තිබුණා.
I had a tricycle.
මගේ යාලුවෙකුට රුසියාවේ පෑනේ මිතුරෙක් හිටියා.
A friend of mine had a pen pal in Russia.

HAVE වෙනුවට HAVE GOT.

කතා කිරීමේදී HAVE සහ HAS සමග GOT භාවිත කිරීම සුලභය. තේරුමේ වෙනසක් නැත.

I have got a good friend.
Our boss has got a great memory.
I have got a little thing with me.

උක්ත පදය සමග බැඳී ‘have got, has got’ කෙටි යෙදුමක් ලෙස ද භාවිත කළ හැක.

I have got > ( I’ve got) (අයි’ව් ගොට්)
We have got > (We’ve got)
You have got > (You’ve got)
They have got > (They’ve got)
He has got > (He’s got) (හී’ස් ගොට්)
She has got > (She’s got)
It has got > (It’s got)

(HAD සමග මෙසේ කෙටි යෙදුම භාවිත නොවේ.)

(මෙතෙක් සාකච්ඡා කෙරුණු පාඩම්වලට අදාළ ලෙස සකස් කළ අභ්‍යාස කිහිපයක් මෙහි ඇතුළත් වේ. මෙම අභ්‍යාස ඔබේ වැඩිදුර අවබෝධය සඳහා වේ.
අභ්‍යාසවලට පිළිතුරු අනුමාන කර පහතින් ඇති පිළිතුරු සමග සසඳා බැලිය හැක.
පිළිතුරු comments මගින් එවිය හැකි අතර ඒවා පිරික්සා එවීමට ද හැක.)

1.What is going on there? ( මොකක්ද එතන වෙන්නෙ?)
2.He will be soon here. (එයා ඉක්මනට මෙහෙ ඒවි.)
3.It is too loose. (ඒක ගොඩක් බුරුලයි.)
4.It’s too late. (ගොඩක් පරක්කුයි.)
5.How far is it from here to your home? (මෙහෙ ඉඳල ඔයාලයි ගෙදරට කොච්චර දුරද?)
