📰 From Headlines to High Fashion: The Paper Runway! 👗✨

The absolute showstopper at 'Alakamandawata Avurudu' was the 'Creative Costume Design & Ramp Walk' competition! Using only newspapers, scissors, and tape, our little designers turned paper into couture. The excitement reached its peak when they showcased their masterpieces in a stunning fashion show. It was a proud and eye-opening moment for parents to witness the incredible hidden potential within their children! 🤩👏

📰 පුවත්පත් පිටු අතරින් උපන් අපූරු මෝස්තර සැණකෙළිය! 👗✨

'ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු' වේදිකාව වර්ණවත් කළ වැඩිම පිරිසකගේ අවධානය දිනාගත් විශේෂාංගය වූයේ 'නිර්මාණාත්මක ඇඳුම් නිර්මාණය හා ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමේ' තරඟයයි. පුවත්පත් කඩදාසි, කතුරු සහ ටේප් වැනි සරල දෑ පමණක් භාවිතා කරමින් දරුවන් මැවූ ඒ අපූරු මෝස්තර, පසුව රේම්ප් එකක් (Ramp) මත විලාසිතා දැක්මක් ලෙස ඉදිරිපත් කළා. දරුවන් තුළ සැඟවී තිබූ මේ මහා විභවය දැක දෙමාපියන් පවා පුදුමයට පත් වූ ඒ සුන්දර මොහොත මෙන්න! 🤩👏

✨ Turning Waste into Wonders: Young Hands, Big Ideas! ♻️🎨

Another standout event at 'Alakamandawata Avurudu' was the 'Best Creation' competition. Armed with nothing but discarded materials and just 30 minutes on the clock, these talented kids left us speechless with their ingenuity. It’s amazing to see what young minds can achieve when creativity meets a challenge! 🌟

✨ ඉවතලන දෑ අතරින් මැවුණු පුංචි දෑත්වල විස්කම්! ♻️🎨

'ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු' වැඩසටහනේ තවත් සුවිශේෂී අංගයක් වූයේ 'හොඳම නිර්මාණය' තරඟයයි. අප විසින් ලබාදුන් ඉවතලන ද්‍රව්‍ය භාවිතා කරමින්, විනාඩි 30ක වැනි ඉතා කෙටි කාලයකදී අපේ දරුවන් කළ ඒ අපූරු නිර්මාණ දැක අපි පුදුමයට පත්වුණා. ඔවුන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය සහ වේගය ඇත්තටම අගය කළ යුතුයි! 🌟

🌸 Alakamandawata Avurudu: Bringing Little Imaginations to Life! 🎨

Beyond the traditional festivities, we dedicated a special space to nurture the creativity of our younger generation. Our 'Best Coloring' competition for children aged 5-10 was a highlight of the day! We gave them a canvas to express their inner artists, and the results were simply magical. Watch how these young creators added vibrant life to their drawings! ✨

🌸 ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු: පුංචි සිතුවම්වලට පණ දුන් වර්ණ සැණකෙළිය! 🎨

පාරම්පරික ක්‍රීඩාවලට පමණක් සීමා නොවී, අපේ දරුවන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලී සිතිවිලි අවදි කරන්නට "ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු" තුළින් අපි අපූරු අවස්ථාවක් වෙන් කළා. 5-10 වයස් කාණ්ඩයේ දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් පැවැත්වූ 'හොඳම වර්ණගැන්වීම' තරඟය එහි සුවිශේෂී අංගයක් වුණා. ඔවුන්ගේ සිත් ගත් වර්ණවලින් රූප සිතුවම් කරමින්, පුංචි දෑත්වලින් මැවූ ඒ සොඳුරු ලෝකය දෙස බලන්න! ✨

'ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු' වේදිකාවේ අපේ මිතුරන් පිරිස සංගීත පුටු තරගයෙන් උද්යෝගිමත් වුණු අයුරුයි මේ! අවසාන පුටුව වෙනුවෙන් වූ ඒ සටන ඇත්තටම අමතක නොවන සුළුයි. 😍✨

🐘 Spot the Eye! The Mystery of the Blindfolded Elephant 🎯

One of the most beloved games in any Avurudu festival is "Aliyata Asa Thabeema" (Placing the Eye on the Elephant). It’s a test of intuition, luck, and a whole lot of laughter! 🤭

Blindfolded and spun around, our little participants had to guess exactly where the missing eye belonged. Here’s a glimpse of how the fun unfolded at "Alakamandawata Avurudu"! 🐘✨

🐘 අලියට ඇස තැබීම: පෙනෙන නොපෙනෙන මතක අතරින්... 🎯

අවුරුදු උත්සවයක වැඩිම හිනා හඬක් ඇහෙන්නේ අලියට ඇස තැබීමේ ක්‍රීඩාව අසලදී කිව්වොත් වැරදි නැහැ. ඇස් දෙක වහගෙන, අලියා කොහේද ඉන්නේ කියලා අනුමානයෙන් ඇස ලකුණු කරන එක හරිම අපූරු අභියෝගයක්! 🤭

"ආලකමන්දාවට අවුරුදු" අපේ පුංචි යාළුවෝ මේ අභියෝගය භාරගත්තේ හරිම උනන්දුවෙන්. බලන්නකෝ අපේ අලියාට ඇස තිබ්බ ලස්සන! 🐘✨

🕯️ Lighting the Lamps of Memory... ✨

In Sri Lankan tradition, we ignite a warm flame to bless every new beginning. At Alakamanda, we reimagined this beautiful ritual by transforming the traditional lamp lighting into a "Canvas of Memories." 🎨

Instead of a fleeting flame, each stroke on this canvas represents a wish made and a memory shared. We believe that whenever someone steps back into Alakamanda, these painted flames will continue to glow, keeping the spirit of this day alive forever. ❤️

🕯️ මතකයේ පහන් සිළු කැන්වසයකට... ✨

ශ්‍රී ලාංකික අපට ඕනෑම සුබ කටයුත්තකදී පහන් ආලෝකය දල්වා ආශිර්වාද කිරීම උතුම් සම්ප්‍රදායක්. ආලකමන්දා අවුරුදු උළෙලේදී අපි ඒ උරුමය සුපුරුදු රාමුවෙන් මිදී "මතක පහන් සිලක්" ලෙස කැන්වසයක් මත සිතුවම් කළා. 🎨

දිනෙක නැවතත් ආලකමන්දාවට පය තබන ඕනෑම අයෙකුට, එදා අපි දල්වපු ඒ සුබ පැතුම් සහ උණුසුම් මතකයන් මේ කැන්වසය තුළින් සදාකාලිකව දැල්වෙනු නොඅනුමානයි. ❤️

🌸 A Unique "Punchi Avurudu" Celebration at Alakamanda Art Academy! 🌸

A Unique "Punchi Avurudu" Celebration at Alo step outside the traditional box and celebrate the New Year with a creative twist! 🌿✨

To kick off the festivities, every child was invited to write an original poem to gain "entry" to the festival. It was heartwarming to see their young minds weave beautiful verses, which were proudly displayed on our "Kavi Puwaruwa" (Poem Board). A true blend of tradition, art, and imagination! ✍️🎨

🌸 ආලකමන්දා ආට් ඇකඩමියේ අපූරු "පුංචි අවුරුදු" සැමරුම! 🌸

මෙවර අවුරුදු උත්සවය අපි සැමරුවේ වෙනස්ම විදියකට. සාම්ප්‍රදායික රාමුවෙන් ඔබ්බට ගොස්, දරුවන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලීත්වයට ඉඩක් දෙමින් අපූරු අත්දැකීමක් ඔවුන්ට තිළිණ කළා. ✍️✨

අවුරුදු උත්සවයට ඇතුළු වීමට පෙර සෑම දරුවෙකුම තමන්ගේම සිතුවිලිවලින් කවියක් ලියා අවසර ලබා ගැනීම මෙහි සුවිශේෂීම අවස්ථාවයි. එම සුන්දර කවි පෙළ "කවි පුවරුවක" ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරමින් අපේ සංස්කෘතික උරුමය අලුත් මානයකින් අත්විඳීමට ඔවුන්ට අවස්ථාව සැලසුණා. 🎨📜

🎭 මතක අස්වනු නෙළන්නට... තෙස්පියන්ලා යළිත් ආලකමන්දාවට! 🌿

මතකද ඒ සුන්දර ජනවාරිය? හරියටම මීට වසර දෙකකට පෙර, Alakamanda Art Academy අපේ චිත්‍ර කලා ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ අවසන් හෝරාවන් "නාට්‍ය හැන්දෑවකින්" වර්ණවත් වුණා. එදා තමයි කුරුවිට ඉඳන් "තෙස්පියන් තීයටර්" (Thespian Theatre) සහෝදර කැල ප්‍රථම වතාවට ඇඹිලිපිටියේ අපේ මේ ආලකමන්දාවට පය තැබුවේ.

එදා පටන් අද වෙනකම්, ආලකමන්දාවේ හැම වැඩකදීම තෙස්පියන්ලා අපේම සහෝදරයෝ වගේ ළඟින්ම ඉඳන් ලොකු හයියක් වුණා. ඉතින්, ඒ සුහදකමේ නෑගම් යාම යළිත් අලුත් කරන්නට කාලය ඇවිත්!

නැවතත් මතක අලුත් කරන දවසක්...

ඔන්න එළඹෙන මාර්තු 14 වැනිදා උදෑසන 9.00 ට, තෙස්පියන් තීයටර් සහෝදර කැල යළිත් ආලකමන්දාවට ගොඩවදිනවා.

✨ එදා දවසේ විශේෂතා:

නාට්‍ය පිටපත් රචනය පිළිබඳ හරවත් කතාබහක් සහ වැඩසටහන් පෙළක්.

සන්ධ්‍යාවේ සුන්දරව ගෙවී යන "මතක හැන්දෑව" විශේෂ වැඩසටහන.

කලාවට ආදරය කරන, මතකයන්ට පෙම් බඳින ඔබ සැමටම මේ ආරාධනාවයි! එහෙනම්, මාර්තු 14 වැනිදා දවස වෙන් කරගන්න. අපි ආයෙමත් හමුවෙමු!

On March 10, 2025, at the kind invitation of R/Emb/Kolambageara National School, an experimental human figure drawing was conducted at the art workshop presented to the children of the school's junior section.
Simultaneously, a poetry book titled "Poetry Paintings" was launched at the end of the workshop, with the aim of building the children's creative thinking.

2025 මාර්තු 10 ර/ඇඹි/කොළඹගෙආර ජාතික පාසලේ සුහද ආරාධනය අනුව පාසලේ කනිෂ්ඨ අංශයේ දරුවන් සඳහා ඉදිරිපත් කෙරුණු චිත්‍ර කලා වැඩමුළුවේ දී පර්යේෂණාත්මක අධ්‍යනයකින් යුතු මානව රූ ඇඳීමක් සිදුකරන ලදී.
එහිදී ඊට සමගාමීව දරුවන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලී චින්තනය ගොඩනැගීමේ අරමුණින් වැඩසටහනට සහභාගි වූ දරුවන්ගෙන් ලබා ගත් කවි එකතුවෙන් වැඩමුළුව අවසානයේදී "කවි සිතුවම්" නමින් කාව්‍ය ග්‍රන්ථයක් එලිදක්වන ලදි
