"𝙂𝙖𝙬𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙖" 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙖 𝙀𝙘𝙤 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚...
On July 14th, Alakamandawa eco space in Udawalawe hosted the experimental concert " Gaweshana - ගවේෂණ " (Explorations), a truly unforgettable evening that bridged the silence of nature with vibrant musical life.
Through the free improvisation of American violist Ilana McNamara and veteran Sri Lankan musician Nuwan Gunawardhana , our space was naturally transformed into a beautiful, living art gallery.
The entire evening was dedicated to transforming pressing environmental themes into a profound musical experience. Deeply sensitive topics were reimagined through the tones of the viola, trumpet, trombone, and the traditional conch shell, creating a moving experience for the audience that went far beyond mere entertainment.
The most engaging and joyful moment of the evening was when Nuwan shared his musical instruments among the audience, and everyone joined in to create a collective sound-piece in freedom! This beautiful cascade of human sound, blending with the voices of nature, was a completely new, fun, and memorable experience for our rural community.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the friends who joined us to listen to the voice of nature through music and to contribute to it, to those who made loving donations, and to all who participated in the fruitful conversation with the artists after the performance!

පසුගිය ජූලි 14 වනදා උඩවලව Alakamandawa Eco Space හිදී පැවැත්වුණු "ගවේෂණ (Gaweshana)" පර්යේෂණාත්මක ප්‍රසංගය සොබාදහමේ නිහඬතාවයත්, අපූර්ව සංගීතමය ජීවයත් එකට යා කළ සැබවින්ම අමතක නොවන සැඳෑවක් වුණා.
ඇමරිකානු ජාතික Viola ශිල්පිනී Ilana McNamara සහ ප්‍රවීණ ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය සංගීතවේදී Nuwan Gunawardhana ගේ නිදහස් ක්ෂණික නිර්මාණකරණය (Free Improvisation) ඔස්සේ අප අවකාශය සොඳුරු කලාගාරයක් බවට පත් වූයේ නිතැතින්මයි.
මෙම සැඳෑව මුළුමනින්ම කැප වූයේ සොබාදහම මුහුණ දෙන දැවෙන තේමාවන් සංගීතමය අත්දැකීමක් බවට පත් කිරීමටයි. අතිශය සංවේදී මාතෘකා Viola ස්වර, Trumpet, Trombone සහ සාම්ප්‍රදායික හක්ගෙඩි නාදයෙන් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය වෙද්දී, එය ප්‍රේක්ෂක අප සැමට හුදු විනෝදාස්වාදයෙන් එහා ගිය ගැඹුරු ආත්මීය අත්දැකීමක් වුණා.
සැඳෑවේ වඩාත්ම සිත්ගන්නාසුළු සහ ප්‍රීතිමත්ම අවස්ථාව වූයේ ප්‍රේක්ෂකයන් අතරේ නුවන් ඔහුගේ සංගීත භාණ්ඩ බෙදා දී, සියල්ලෝම එක්වී නිදහසේ ශබ්ද නගමින් කළ සාමූහික නිර්මාණයයි! සොබාදහමේ හඬත් සමඟ මුසුවුණු ඒ අසිරිමත් මිනිස් හඬ දහර, ග්‍රාමීය ප්‍රජාවට සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අලුත්ම, විනෝදජනක සහ මතකයේ රැඳෙන අත්දැකීමක් වුණා.
සොබාදහමේ හඬ සංගීතයෙන් අසන්නටත්, එයට දායක වෙන්නටත් මෙම සුවිශේෂී ප්‍රසංගය සඳහා අප හා එක්වූ, මේ වෙනුවෙන් ආදරයෙන් පරිත්‍යාගයන් කළ සහ ප්‍රසංගයෙන් පසු කලාකරුවන් සමඟ හරවත් සංවාදයකට දායක වූ සියලුම හිතමිතුරන්ට අපගේ හෘදයාංගම ස්තූතිය!
🎨🍃 සොබාදහමට සහ කලාවට ආදරය කරන මෙවැනි අපූර්ව මිනිසුන්ගෙන් 'ආලකමන්දාව' හැඩවෙනු දැකීම අප ලැබූ විශාල සතුටක්.
එදින සැඳෑවේ සොඳුරු මතකයන් කිහිපයක් ඡායාරූප පෙළකින් මෙලෙස ඔබ වෙත... 📸✨
