Sometimes we wonder if it's really necessary to send our little ones to preschool when they are just three years old. They’re still so small, so full of wonder, and so attached to home.
But I’ve seen what a beautiful difference it can make.
Preschool is more than just learning ABCs and numbers. It’s where children begin to discover who they are. It’s where they make their first little friends, where they learn to share, to wait for their turn, to listen, and to speak with confidence. It’s where they start to understand the world beyond their home.
At this age, their minds are like little sponges. They learn through play, through music, through stories, and most importantly, through love. A gentle routine, a safe and happy environment, and meaningful experiences every day — these are the things that help build the foundation for all their learning ahead.
So if you’ve been thinking about it, I just wanted to share from my heart — three is a beautiful age to begin.
සමහර වෙලාවට අපි කල්පනා කරනවා අපේ පොඩි ළමයින්ට අවුරුදු තුනක් විතර වෙනකොට පෙර පාසලට යවන්න ඇත්තටම අවශ්යද කියලා. එයාලා තාමත් හරිම පොඩියි, හැමදේම හොයනවා, ගෙදරට ගොඩක් බැඳිලා.
නමුත් මම දැක්කා ඒකෙන් කොච්චර ලස්සන වෙනසක් කරන්න පුළුවන්ද කියලා.
පෙර පාසල කියන්නේ ABC සහ අංක ඉගෙන ගන්නවට වඩා වැඩි දෙයක්. ළමයි තමන් කවුද කියලා හොයාගන්න පටන් ගන්න තැන. එයාලා එයාලගේ පළවෙනි පොඩි යාළුවෝ හොයාගන්නේ, එයාල බෙදාගන්න, එයාලගේ වාරය එනකම් ඉන්න, සවන් දෙන්න සහ විශ්වාසයෙන් කතා කරන්න ඉගෙන ගන්නේ එතනින්. එයාලා ගෙදරින් එහා ලෝකය තේරුම් ගන්න පටන් ගන්නේ එතනින්.
මේ වයසේදී, එයාලගේ මනස පොඩි ස්පොන්ජ් වගේ. එයාලා සෙල්ලම් කිරීමෙන්, සංගීතයෙන්, කතන්දර හරහා සහ වඩාත්ම වැදගත් දෙය නම් ආදරය තුළින් ඉගෙන ගන්නවා. මෘදු චර්යාවක්, ආරක්ෂිත සහ ප්රීතිමත් පරිසරයක් සහ සෑම දිනකම අර්ථවත් අත්දැකීම් - මේවා තමයි එයාලගේ ඉදිරි ඉගෙනීම් සියල්ලටම අඩිතාලම දැමීමට උපකාරී වන දේවල්.
ඉතින් ඔබ ඒ ගැන සිතමින් සිටියා නම්, මට මගේ හදවතින් බෙදා ගැනීමට අවශ්ය වුණා - වයස තුන කියන්නේ පටන් ගන්න ලස්සන වයසක්....
