Today is Founder's Day at DLS—a day on which we celebrate the life of our late founder. Born on May 31st 1928, Mrs. Daphne Lord was responsible for a great legacy of developing a love for the English language among students who came to her from all walks of life.
We wish to congratulate all our students, especially those who have accomplished great feats in the last academic year. This year saw many students being recognised in a variety of external examinations—in Spoken English, Written English, Speech and Drama, Speech Theory, and especially in achieving stellar results for their diplomas in the teaching of English as a Second Language and in Speech and Drama (Performance).
It has been a memorable journey, and we thank the Blessed Lord for the life, sacrifices, and example of our dear 'Auntie Daphne'.
A very joyous Founder's Day to all!
