Today, on 18 May, as many in Sri Lanka and across the world observe Mullivaikkal Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the immense loss, grief, and enduring memories carried by those affected by war.

This poem, drawn from Memories from Kilinochchi, an ICES publication compiling the stories and memories of women from Kilinochchi during the war, invites us to reflect on lived experiences of loss, resilience, and remembrance.
