Research shows that gradual increases in daily walking improve cardiovascular health, energy expenditure, and metabolic function while reducing sedentary behavior. Consistent step accumulation between 7,000–12,000 steps per day is associated with lower mortality risk and improved overall health outcomes (Saint-Maurice et al., 2019; WHO, 2020).
