The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of D.S. Senanayake College has won the Colombo District Championship of the 'Maage Deshaya Avadi Karanu Mena-Shantha Bandara Memorial Inter School Debating Competition' which was organised by the University of Peradeniya.
In their victorious path, our senior team managed to overpower
Vishaka Vidyalaya - 3-0
Royal College - 2-1
Semi Final - Nalanda College - 2-1
Final - Lumbini College - 3-2

Champions! Champions! Champions!
The Senior Sinhala Debating Team of DS Senanayake College clinched their 3rd Championship Title for this year.
They became the Champions of "Suwani" Inter School Debating Tournament, which was organized by the Sinhala Oratory & Debating Society of Musaeus College.
In their path to the victory they managed to overpower the challanges of these teams,
1st Round - Nalanda College, Colombo
2nd Round - DS Senanayake College, Ampara
3rd Round - Vidyartha Vidyalaya, Kandy
Quarter Final - Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo
Semi Final - Sumangala Vidyalaya, Panadura
Final - Royal College, Colombo
Moreover, Our talanted brothers was awarded with quite a few individual awards.
