📍New Zealand Immigration Update – Effective from 1 June 2026
Important update for families of temporary visa holders applying to New Zealand visas.
Immigration New Zealand has announced that from 1 June 2026, applications for family members of temporary visa holders will transition to the enhanced Immigration Online system, which will become the preferred platform for processing these applications.
Key highlights:
Applications submitted through the new enhanced system will be prioritised during the transition period
Applications already submitted through the old system before 31 May 2026 will continue to be processed
Draft applications in the old system can still be completed and submitted
The enhanced system is expected to improve processing efficiency and minimise delays
This is an important operational change for students, workers, and their dependent family members planning their New Zealand journey.
Applicants and education consultants are strongly encouraged to use the enhanced Immigration Online platform for new submissions moving forward.

🔹 295 – Subclass 190 Visa
🔹 214 – Subclass 491 Visa
Highest invitations were received by:

✅ Engineering Occupations
✅ Construction Trades
⚠️ Very limited invitations for:
• Food Trade Workers
• Retail & Service Managers
📌 Important Update:
South Australia has already issued 2,615 invitations this program year — exceeding the official quota of 2,250
Another invitation round is expected in mid to late 2026, possibly one of the final rounds before the financial year ends on 30 June 2026.
