If you struggling to achieve your goals then maybe you are looking at your goal in its entirety and you haven't broken it down into smaller chunks.

You're most likely spending too much time feeling overwhelmed with the herculean task ahead of you, instead of working on the next actionable step.

Once you create your worthy goal:

1. identifying the smaller milestones you would like to hit by working backwards from there.
2. Celebrate each of these small wins. When you celebrate and cheer yourself on, you keep yourself motivated and focused.

So, the next time you create your goal, don't worry about the obstacles in your way, just focus on the tiny next step.

Let me know how you'll overcome your obstacles in the comments :)

I love spotting signs 💖

And on our morning walk today, Ringo🐕‍🦺 and I 🚶🏻‍♀️were greeted by this twig with its slender branches arching up and towards each other to form a ❤️

The universe showering Love, right at my feet 🙌🏻🥰💕

If you are seeking love or feeling the lack of it, just look out for the signs.
They’re always there.

*The subsequent pictures are:
❣️A heart-shared hole in the sidewalk from one of my evening walks with Ringo
❣️A heart-shaped well formed while pouring oil into my ‘molaga-podi’ (a super spicy south Indian powder that one whips into a paste to eat with Dosa & Idly)

Wishing you all a Yummy Valentine’s day!😋

Just like the kid, don't listen to anyone who says “You don't need leadership training”

Leadership training is not only for individuals who have large teams working under them but also for people who aspire to be leaders one day.

Starting leadership training helps you understand how you can streamline your functions in a structured manner so as to be working with higher efficiency and effectiveness.

So what are you waiting for? DM is now to know more!

A true sign of personal mastery is to move from reaction to response, and the biggest challenge here is when someone falters.
We all make mistakes and we all have our inadequacies but when you're a team lead it's critical to focus on the important things, in order to
🎯 Build a resilient team
🎯 Boost employee morale
🎯 Get the job done

Remove the person from the mistake and focus on making progress.

Have you tried any of these strategies?
How do you deal with your team's mistakes?

Strong teams are not automatically built.
They require good judgement, skill, time, effort and above all a people-centred, empathic approach to leadership.

I have learned a thing or two in my years of working in teams and building some of my own. And here are some crucial mistakes to avoid.

Talk to me if you’re struggling to build your team; or better still, meet my team!

Goal setting used to freak me out until I realised how broken it is.
Most of us are out chasing someone else's dream or expectations of us. Besides we don't stop to see the signs until it's too late and we've invested too much time, effort or money already.

What I've learned is that you need to stop before you lose steam. And read the signs of burnout, distraction and boredom.
The better way would be to invest in your personal development and in understanding your personal motivations better.

The goal of a goal is to inspire.
Is your goal inspiring you to jump up and take action?
And challenge your limiting perspectives and beliefs?

It is essential to start setting your goals basis what's important for you.
Remember, The Buck Stop with You.

Are you confusing your identity with your sense of self worth?

Simone Biles, one of the greatest and most dominant gymnasts of all time, is in the news for showing grit and courage, yet again.

And this time, she has shown the courage to choose her own feelings over some mindless pursuit of further greatness.

Simone Biles withdrew first from the women’s team event, and then, yesterday, from today’s individual all-around event citing mental health issues.
This was meant to be Her Olympics. She was not just slated to win but also set a new benchmark for herself by beating her own previous achievements. However, she decided to withdraw instead, challenging the notion that elite athletes are forged of steel in mind and body, and must not show vulnerability or frailty.

“We have to protect our mind and our body rather than just go out there and do what the world wants us to do,” Biles told the press.

She is a brilliant role model for everyone who confuse their titles, designations, and workplace achievements with their true worth in life.

You are more than your title.
You are more than your net worth.
You are more than what the world knows you for.

Do not confuse the current identity badge you wear with your actual self worth.
You are more than your accomplishments.

Step out to embrace yourself in all your glory.

There was a time, several years ago when all I spoke about was doing something meaningful with my life.
What I really wanted was to resourcefully use my time and do something for myself that made me feel fulfilled.

I was tangled in my own confused mess because what I actually did was to allow everything and everyone else take priority instead.

Setting the bar too high and too far made it more confusing and frustrating.
Until I finally learned to break it down into the smallest, nearest and simplest activity, preferably within my existing ecosystem.

I spent time with a mentor. I found myself a coach. I started working out with my neighbours.

These small successes helped channel my energy, focus my thoughts and inspired me to take bigger leaps into setting up my business and registering my own company.

Now what’s the one idea you’ve been sitting on for a while, or years!?

What’s the first step you’re going to take this month?
