Once upon a time I had known and used the word disabled, a time where smiling was just a habit and not an expression. I was engrossed with studies and by the time I reached the end of another day, the feeling of emptiness never failed to engulf me, leaving me with the question; what do I do with this life I live, which still leaves a void in me?
Life is most definitely a surprise either in a good way or in a bad way. 25th of April 2016 (yes I remember it like it was yesterday) life revealed yet another one of its surprises. I found a place that made me change my vocabulary from disabled to differently abled. Smiling became one of the deepest expressions I ever knew. I learnt the value of being me and how blessed I am.
I started believing that after all that has happened, humanity still had hope, because we are all destined to do so much more good than we see. Humanity is the reason we keep moving forward.
Every morning I woke up to a new day, I had hope. That after all, what we are looking for in life isn't to be found in us, but to be found in giving meaning to another's life......
