A Startup Licensing Agreement was signed between Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and NPL Metro Devices (Pvt) Ltd. to commercialize the “Mechanical Metre Stick Calibration System,” invented by Prof. Nalin P. Liyanawaduge of the Faculty of Technology.

This initiative brings together the Faculty of Technology and the Faculty of Applied Sciences to work closely with the gem industry on innovative and sustainable solutions. Through this collaboration, we aim to bridge academic research with industrial applications, contributing to technological advancement, value addition, and scientific development within Sri Lanka’s gem sector.
