Every great journey begins with a dream.

In December 2024, I started UD Model Academy with one simple vision—to create opportunities for talented people in Bandarawela and nearby areas without them having to travel to Colombo to begin their modeling journey.

Our first batch had only 15 students. Today, our academy has continued to grow with students from many backgrounds, including children, teenagers, university students, teachers, nurses, mothers, and young professionals. Watching their confidence grow has been one of the greatest achievements of my life.

At UD Model Academy, we don't only teach catwalk and modeling. We build confident, disciplined, and respectful individuals. My journey in the fashion industry has allowed me to work with many of Sri Lanka's leading photographers, designers, choreographers, and professional models. I have also gained valuable international experience through my modeling career. Every lesson I learned from the fashion industry is now shared with my students.

One of my proudest moments was organizing the UD Model Academy Graduation Fashion Show 2025 in Bandarawela,where our students confidently walked the runway alongside professional models. It was proof that talent can shine anywhere when given the right guidance.

UD Model Academy is more than a modeling school. It is a bridge connecting dreams to opportunities, helping talented individuals step confidently into Sri Lanka's fashion industry and beyond.

Thank you to every student, parent, photographer, designer, choreographer, and friend who has supported this journey. Your trust inspires me to continue creating the next generation of confident, disciplined, and successful models.

Looking at this group reminds me how far we’ve come together. Some of these amazing students are currently training with us, while others are proud graduates of our academy.

Today, many of them have represented Sri Lanka on international stages, won international titles, claimed national championships, and continue to grow with confidence, style, grooming, runway excellence, and professional modeling skills.

Watching each of you grow—not only as models but as confident, disciplined, and inspiring individuals—is the greatest reward for me.
