The Old Peterites Batch Group of 1995-2000 successfully held its 19th Annual General Meeting on 5th June 2026 at the Patrons Auditorium, OBU Secretariat, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, Rector of St. Peter's College, Mr. Roshan Fernando, President of the Old Boys' Union, Past Presidents of the Batch Group, and fellow batch mates.

The proceedings commenced with prayers led by Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, followed by the observance of two minutes' silence in remembrance of our departed batch mates.

At the commencement of the election process, former President of the Batch Group, Dr. Nirmal de Silva, in the absence of the Immediate Past President Mr. Shawn Adams, nominated the incumbent President Mr. Sanjeew Perera to continue in office for another term. Mr. Sanjeew Perera was subsequently elected uncontested as President of the Old Peterites Batch Group of 1995-2000 for the 2026/27 term.

Thereafter, from the Chair, Mr. Sanjeew Perera appointed: Mr. Rukmal Goonethilake as Hony. General Secretary and Mr. Suren Perera as Hony. Treasurer

We congratulate the newly elected Committee and extend our best wishes and blessings as they continue to build on the strong legacy of the Old Peterites Batch Group of 1995-2000 through fellowship, service, unity, and commitment to our alma mater.

The Old Peterites Batch Group of 1995–2000 is proud to announce the appointment of our fellow batchmate, Lakala Perera, to the National Rugby Coaching Staff.

​Lakala's dedication to the sport and his continuous contributions to Sri Lankan rugby are an inspiration to us all. It is always a momentous occasion to see one of our own achieve such a significant milestone and continue to bring honor to the Peterite fraternity.

​On behalf of all your brothers from the Batch of 1995–2000, we wish you every success in this exciting new chapter. We look forward to seeing the impact you will undoubtedly make on the national stage.

The Old Peterites Batch Group of 1995-2000 is proud to create another first by organizing, for the very first time, a “වෙසක් අයිස්ක්‍රීම් දන්සල” on Saturday 30th May from 5PM onwards near the College on Galle Road.

This initiative re-emphasizes the true spirit of brotherhood, unity, and togetherness among all communities during this sacred Vesak season.

We warmly invite all our batch mates to drop in, participate, and show your solidarity in making this initiative a meaningful success.
