උතුම් වූ බක් පුර පොහොය අදයි❤️☸️
බක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ජාතික නිවාඩු දිනයකි. එය සාමාන්‍යයෙන් අප්‍රේල් මාසයේ යෙදී ඇත. මෙම පෝය (බක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනය) බුදුන් වහන්සේ බුද්ධත්වයට පත් වූ පස්වන වසරේ සිදු වූ දෙවන ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමන සිහිපත් කරයි.

බක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය ඉතිහාසය

බුදුන් වහන්සේ බුද්ධත්වයට පත් වූ පස්වන වසරේ බක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනකදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට නැවත පැමිණියහ. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉතිහාසය සම්බන්ධ මහා කාව්‍යයක් වන මහාවංශයට අනුව, බුදුන් වහන්සේ නාග ප්‍රජාවට අයත් කණ්ඩායම් දෙකක් අතර ඇති වූ ආරවුල අවසන් කර දේශයට සාමය ගෙන ඒමට අවශ්‍යව නාගදීපයට වැඩම කළහ.

මහෝදර රජු සහ ඔහුගේ බෑණනුවන් වන චූලෝදර, නාග ගෝත්‍රයට අයත් දෙදෙනාම, මැණික් සහිත සිංහාසනයක් වන මනිපළග සම්බන්ධයෙන් රණ්ඩු වෙමින් සිටියහ, එය චූලෝදරගේ මවට ඇගේ පියා විසින් ලබා දී තිබුණි. ප්‍රතිවාදීන් සටනේදී හමුවීමට ආසන්නව සිටියදී බුදුන් වහන්සේ මැදිහත් විය. ආරවුල සමථයකට පත් කිරීමට සහ ධර්ම දේශනා දේශනා කිරීමෙන් සමගිය ඇති කිරීමට ඔහු සමත් විය.

දිවයිනට සාමය ගෙන ඒමෙන් පසු, සටන් කරන රජවරු වටිනා සිංහාසනය බුදුන් වහන්සේට පූජා කළහ. උන්වහන්සේ එම ත්‍යාගය ආචාරශීලීව ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කළහ. සිංහාසනය නාග රජවරුන්ට ආපසු ලබා දෙන ලද අතර පසුව එය සිදුවීම් සිදු වූ ස්ථානයේ ඉදිකරන ලද පුරාණ බෞද්ධ විහාරස්ථානයක් වන නාගදීප රජමහා විහාරයේ රාජායතන ස්ථූපයේ තැන්පත් කරන ලදී.

පෝය දිනයේදී, බෞද්ධයන් නාගදීප රජමහා විහාරයට මෙනෙහි කිරීමට සහ සංචාරය කිරීමට පන්සල්වලට පැමිණේ Bak Full Moon Poya Day is a national holiday in Sri Lanka. It usually falls in April. This poya (Bak Pura Pasaloswaka Poya Day) commemorates the second visit of The Buddha to Sri Lanka which took place in the fifth year of his Supreme Enlightenment.

History of Bak Full Moon Poya

Buddha, in the fifth year of his Supreme Enlightenment, returned to Sri Lanka on a Bak Pura Pasaloswaka Poya Day. According to the Mahavamsa, an epic poem that relates the history of Sri Lanka, the Buddha visited Nagadipa as he wanted to put an end to the feud between two groups belonging to the Naga community and bring peace to the land.

King Mahodara and his nephew, Chulodara, both from the Naga tribe were quarrelling over a gem-studded throne, Manipalaga, which had been given to Chulodara's mother by her father. The Buddha intervened as the rivals were about to meet in battle. He managed to settle the dispute and created unity through preaching the Dhamma sermons.

Having brought peace to the island, the warring kings had offered the precious throne to the Buddha. He courteously declined the gift. The throne was returned to the Naga Kings and was later enshrined in the Rajayathana stupa at Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya, an ancient Buddhist temple built on the site where the events took place.

On the poya, Buddhists visit temples to reflect and travel to Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya.

මැදින් පොහොය (සාමාන්‍යයෙන් මාර්තු මාසයේ) යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වැදගත් බෞද්ධ පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනයක් වන අතර, බුදුන් වහන්සේ බුද්ධත්වයෙන් පසු තම පියා වන සුද්ධෝදන රජු බැලීමට ප්‍රථම වරට තම උපන් ස්ථානය වන කපිලවස්තු වෙත නැවත පැමිණීම සනිටුහන් කරයි. එය උන්වහන්සේ පවුලේ අය සමඟ සංහිඳියාව, රාහුල කුමරුගේ පැවිදි බව සහ ඥාතීන්ට දේශනා කිරීම සිහිපත් කරයි.☸️
☸️Medin Full Moon Poya Day
⭕Madin Poya (usually in March) is a significant Buddhist full moon holiday in Sri Lanka marking the Buddha’s first return to his birthplace, Kapilavastu, after enlightenment to visit his father, King Suddhodana. It commemorates his reconciliation with family, the ordination of Prince Rahula, and preaching to relatives.☸️

⭕On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hardy College of Technology, an all-night Pirith chanting and morning alms offering ceremony was held at the college premises recently to pay homage to Father Hardy and to bless all the students.
⭕I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff including the Director who dedicated themselves to making the event a success, to the Hardy College of Technology Students' Association and the Alumni Association for all the organizational activities, and to all the local residents who supported us in this way. !!!💙☸️

The first commemorates the appointment of Sariputta (Sariyuth) and Moggallana (Mugalan) as the first two chief disciples (Aggasavakes) of Gautama Buddha. Navam Poya also commemorates the first-ever Buddhist Council, held three months after the death of the Buddha. It was here where the Vinaya (the code of fundamental ethics for Buddhist monks) was proclaimed based on the teachings that the Buddha had passed onto his disciples.💙

මෙය ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන්ගේ දින දර්ශනයේ අති විශේෂ ආගමික සහ ඉතිහාසපූරණ දිනයක් වන අතර, බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ සම්බුද්ධත්වයට පත්වීමෙන් නව වැනි මාසයේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණි පළමු වාරය සන්තුෂ්ට කරමින් සැමරේ.

ලගබඩ වසර 2,500කට පෙර බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ උව පළාතේ මහියංගනය නගරයට පැමිණිය බව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පුරාණ ග්‍රන්ථයන් වන මහාවංසය සහ දීපවංසය තුළ සඳහන් වේ. ඔහුගේ පැමිණීමේ අරමුණ වූයේ දිවයිනේ ප්‍රධාන ආදික දෙමළ සහ සිංහල ජනවාර්ග දෙක අතර සිදුවූ ගැටුම් නවතා දැමීමයි.

මෙම සංචාරය අතරතුර, බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ එම ජනවාර්ග දෙකට දර්ශනයක් දුන්හ. ඒවා අසා ගත්ත පසු ඔවුන් එකිනෙකාට ගරු කළ අතර ගැටුම් නතර කළහ.

බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ දේශනා වලින් ප්‍රභාවිත වූ ස්ථානයේ දෙවියන් වූ සූමන සමන් දෙවියෝ බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේට සමානල කන්දේ (අද සමනල කන්ද – ශ්‍රී පාදය) හි සක්වල පාද සලකුණ තැබීම සඳහා ආරාධනා කළහ.

*දුරුතු පොහොය දිනය* යනු, බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ සක්වල පාද සලකුණට පූජා කිරීම සඳහා තිදින පුණ්‍යාක්‍රමික වාරය ආරම්භ වීම නිරූපණය කරන අති වැදගත් දිනයකි.
This is a key religious and historic date in the calendar for Sri Lankans as it marks Gautama Buddha's first visit to Sri Lanka on the ninth month after attaining Enlightenment.

The Buddha first visited Mahiyanganaya in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka about 2,500 years ago. According to the ancient texts of Sri Lanka, the Mahavansa and Dipavansa, the Buddha visited to bring an end to fighting between the two main tribes on the island.

During his visit, the Buddha delivered sermons to the tribes. After listening to the sermons, the tribes gave up fighting with each other and started to respect each other with dignity.

Impressed by the sermons, the local God Sumana Saman invited the Buddha to leave his sacred footprint on the peak of the Samanala Mountain. Duruthu poya marks the beginning of the three-month pilgrimage season to Samanala Mountain in order to worship the footprint of the Buddha.
