This year the foundation will be honoring Teacher Thomas Daniel. His bio is below.

Mr. Thomas Daniel was born and raised in the vibrant community of Desruisseaux, where he has devoted his life to education, community development, and the empowerment of young people.

He began his teaching career in 1973 and dedicated the greater part of his distinguished career to serving at Desruisseaux and Blanchard Combined School. A passionate and committed educator, Mr. Daniel spent many years teaching Common Entrance classes, inspiring countless students to pursue academic excellence and equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to achieve their dreams.

His unwavering dedication left an enduring mark on generations of students and their families.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Daniel was a driving force in the cultural and social life of Desruisseaux. He played an active role in organizing and supporting talent shows, carnival celebrations, and numerous community club activities, helping to nurture creativity, unity, and community pride. An avid musician, cricketer, and darts player, he also championed sports and the arts, recognizing their power to bring people together and enrich lives.

Today, although he is semi-retired, Mr. Daniel's love for the people and community of Desruisseaux remains as strong as ever. His lifelong commitment to education, culture, mentorship, and community service continues to inspire all who know him.

Mr. Thomas Daniel's legacy is one of selfless service, unwavering dedication, and a profound belief in the potential of every individual. His contributions have helped shape the lives of countless young people and strengthened the fabric of the Desruisseaux community—a legacy that will be cherished for generations to come.

Aux Lyons Mothers and Fathers Group – Day 3 Presentation

In our community, there are remarkable individuals who have dedicated more than 40 years of selfless service, always ready to lend a helping hand during times of illness, grief, and need.

Last night, we proudly honored five outstanding individuals whose compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment have touched countless lives. Their dedication has brought comfort to families, strengthened our community, and inspired generations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for their years of faithful service. They are truly shining examples of what it means to serve others with love and humility. ❤️🙏🏽

As we prepare to close the curtain on Day 4 of our Father’s Day Celebration, we began the day with a heartfelt visit to one of our members who is currently unwell.

This meaningful moment reminded us of the true strength, compassion, and unity that bind our community together. While we celebrate fatherhood, we also celebrate the spirit of care, support, and solidarity that inspires us to stand by one another through every challenge.

Together, we honor not only fathers, but the love, resilience, and community spirit that define who we are.
