🎓 Academic Excellence & Ethics: Dr. Suresh Mago (Dean Academic Affairs) and Dr. Surinder Sharma (IQAC Coordinator) inspired students to cultivate discipline, continuous learning and strong ethical values.

📚 Holistic Exposure: Prof. Garima briefed the new entrants on the departmental library, industrial visits, NCC and NSS initiatives, while senior student Ms. Anchal (B.Com Sem-5) shared motivational insights.

A warm welcome to the leaders of tomorrow! The PG Department of Computer Science & IT at Doaba College Jalandhar organized Orientation Program 2026 on 4th August 2026 to introduce freshers to the campus culture, academic framework, and vibrant opportunities.

The program commenced with an introductory address by Prof. Sakshi, who warmly received the dignitaries, faculty, and new students in the Seminar Hall.

Remembering the sacrifices, upholding peace and harmony. The NSS Unit and PG Department of Political Science of Doaba College Jalandhar solemnly observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

The observance commemorated the millions who suffered, were displaced, or lost their lives during the Partition of India in 1947.
🌟 Key Highlights of the Event:
🖼️ Historical Exhibition: Inaugurated by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, the exhibition showcased rare archival photographs and documents depicting the pain of displacement, migration, and family separations.
🎙️ Insightful Lecture: Speaker Dr. Nirmal Singh delivered an evocative lecture on the historical consequences of Partition, emphasizing that remembering history must strengthen peace, communal harmony, brotherhood, and national unity.
✋ Pledge for Unity & Peace: Students and faculty took a solemn pledge to reject hatred, violence, and discrimination.
🕯️ Tribute: The gathering observed a two-minute silence in reverence to the innocent lives lost.

🇮🇳 Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom at Doaba College, Jalandhar 🇮🇳

Doaba College, Jalandhar celebrated Independence Day on 15th August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotism and national pride.

The celebration commenced with flag hoisting by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, followed by the National Anthem. In his address, the Principal highlighted the fundamental duties of citizens towards the nation and society. Prof. Sukhwinder Singh reflected on the history of India’s independence and its enduring significance.

Patriotic poems and songs added to the spirit of the occasion, reminding everyone of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the priceless value of freedom.

A special highlight was the NCC procession under the slogan “Har Ghar Tiranga”, spreading the message of unity, national pride and love for the nation. Principal appreciated the efforts of Prof. Surjeet, Prof. Sonia, ANO Prof. Rahul and Prof. Jaswinder Singh successful organisation of the event.

The celebration concluded with a group photograph of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
