From Sensors to Smartphones technology workshop
في إطار أنشطتها العلمية وكجزء من استراتيجية التوجيه والمبادرات المجتمعية، نظّم قسم الاتصالات والشبكات في كلية عصام فارس للتكنولوجيا – جامعة البلمند ورشة عمل ديناميكية بعنوان:
"من المستشعرات إلى الهواتف الذكية: اصنع نظامك الذكي الأول باستخدام إنترنت الأشياء، والذكاء الاصطناعي، وتطبيقات الهواتف المحمولة"
أُقيمت الورشة يوم الأربعاء، 1 نيسان 2026، في حرم بينو، بمشاركة مديري المدارس والمعلمين والطلاب من مختلف الثانويات في محافظة عكار.
افتتح الورشة الدكتور إيلي كرم، عميد الكلية، مرحبًا بالحضور ومسلطًا الضوء على رسالة الكلية وبرامجها الأكاديمية. كما قدمت السيدة أحلام خوري، مسؤولة العلاقات العامة، عرضًا عن الشراكات الجديدة وفرص الدعم المالي المتاحة للطلاب المستقبليين.
قدّم الورشة الدكتور ربيع النشّار، رئيس قسم الاتصالات والشبكات، مؤكدًا على أهمية التعلم العملي في مجالات إنترنت الأشياء، والذكاء الاصطناعي، وتطبيقات الهواتف المحمولة، ودوره في تعزيز الابتكار.
شارك في هذه التجربة الغنية ما مجموعه 150 طالبًا من 11 مدرسة ثانوية ومعهد واحد، حيث استكشفوا كيفية تصميم الأنظمة الذكية وبرمجتها والتحكم فيها باستخدام التقنيات الحديثة.

Within the framework of its scientific mission and as part of the promotion strategy and community engagement initiatives, the Department of Telecommunications and Networks at the Issam Fares Faculty of Technology – University of Balamand organized a dynamic workshop entitled:
“From Sensors to Smartphones: Build Your First Smart System using IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Mobile Applications”
The workshop was held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Beino Campus, with the participation of school directors, instructors and students from high schools across the Akkar governorate.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Elie Karam, Dean of the Faculty, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the faculty’s mission and academic programs. Mrs. Ahlam Khoury, PR representative, presented newly established partnerships and financial aid opportunities available for prospective students.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Rabih Nachar, Chairperson of the Telecom & Networks Department, who emphasized the importance of hands-on learning in IoT, AI and Mobile Applications, and its role in fostering innovation.
A total of 150 students from 11 high schools and one institute participated in this enriching experience, exploring how smart systems are designed, programmed, and controlled using modern technologies.
