Dr. Souha Kanj has co-authored an influential commentary in The Lancet addressing antimicrobial resistance and shaping international health policy in response to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 2024.
The publication analyzes United Nations targets to reduce global mortality, expand access to effective antibiotics, and strengthen infection prevention. Her contribution emphasizes urgent action through vaccination, stewardship, clean water and sanitation, and investment in diagnostics and surveillance, reinforcing her leadership in advancing solutions to one of the most pressing health challenges of our time.
