QITABI

On January 20, USAID funded QITABI 3 launched the School Social and Emotional Learning Program (SSELP) in collaboration with 67 newly enrolled schools. The session focused on introducing the newly selected school principals to SSELP and providing them with a comprehensive overview of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). SSELP integrates SEL into the child’s immediate environment—the school—more systematically and intentionally to ensure that all children are learning in a healthy and safe environment that nurtures their well-being.

في 20 كانون الثاني، أطلق مشروع كتابي 3 المموّل من الوكالة الاميركية للتنمية الدولية الخطة المدرسية للتعلّم الاجتماعي الانفعالي (SSELP) بالتعاون مع 67 مدرسة جديدة تم اختيارها للانضمام إلى البرنامج. ركّزت الجلسة على تعريف مدراء المدارس الجدد على برنامج الـ SSELP وتقديم نظرة شاملة حول مفهوم التعلّم الاجتماعي الانفعالي. يعمل برنامج الـ SSELP على دمج التعلّم الاجتماعي الانفعالي بشكل منهجي في البيئة المباشرة للطفل - المدرسة - لضمان أن يتعلّم جميع الأطفال في بيئة صحية وآمنة تعزز رفاههم.

Grade 2 students at Al Loubyeh Public School are sharpening their literacy skills by using QITABI Champions of English kit. Through interactive lessons, they are learning to recognize the alphabet and connect each letter to its sound, building a strong foundation for their reading and writing journey. This hands-on approach is helping them gain confidence in their language abilities.

At Sharkiye Public School, Grade 2 students are diving into the world of stories through QITABI’s interactive read-aloud sessions! By engaging with QITABI Stories, the children are not only improving their literacy skills but also developing a love for reading. They are exploring new vocabulary, understanding story structures, and building confidence in both reading and speaking.

في مدرسة الشرقية الرسمية، يغوص طلاب الصف الثاني في عالم القصص من خلال جلسات القراءة الجهرية باستخدام كتب من مكتبة كتابي الصفيّة. لا يقوم الأطفال بتحسين مهاراتهم في القراءة فحسب، بل يطوّرون أيضًا حبهم للقراءة. يقوم التلامذة بالتعرّف الى كلمات جديدة، وفهم هياكل القصة، وزيادة ثقتهم في القراءة والتحدث.

At Al Saksakiyeh Public School, Grade 4 students were actively engaged in a stimulating learning activity using the QITABI Arabic Language Teacher Portfolio. The exercise focused on the past tense verb, fostering their understanding of foundational Arabic grammar while promoting interaction and teamwork. The portfolio helps students with learning difficulties, enhancing their engagement through interactive games and hands-on activities.

في مدرسة السكسكية الرسمية، شارك طلاب الصف الرابع في نشاط تعليمي محفّز من خلال استخدام حقيبة مشروع كتابي بالفصحى احلى. ركّز هذا النشاط على تمكين الفعل الماضي، مما ساهم في تعزيز فهمهم لقواعد اللغة العربية الأساسية، مع تشجيعهم على التفاعل والعمل الجماعي. تساعد الحقيبة الطلاب الذين يواجهون صعوبات في التعلّم على تعزيز تفاعلهم من خلال الألعاب التشاركية والأنشطة العملية.

فريق كتابي 3 يتمنّى لكم عيد ميلاد مجيد وعام سعيد!

On December 19th, 2024, the USAID-funded QITABI 3 team held an Induction Session on the Youth Activity Program (YAP) in the private sector. The session was attended by 13 school principals and representatives from selected secondary private sector schools, based on the program's criteria. It provided an in-depth overview of the YAP Program, including its three main components: Career Guidance, Foreign Language Acquisition, and Life Skills. Principals were introduced to the program’s implementation approach in preparation for launching the three-month program in their schools.

في 19 كانون الأول 2024، عقد فريق كتابي 3 المموّل من الوكالة الاميركية للتنمية الدولية جلسة تعريفية حول برنامج الشباب التربوي. عُقدت الجلسة بحضور 13 مدير مدرسة وممثلين عن ثانويات مختارة من القطاع الخاص بحسب معايير البرنامج. قدّمت الجلسة وصفًا مفصّلًا لبرنامج الشباب التربوي ، بما في ذلك مكوناته الثلاثة الرئيسية (التوجيه المهني، اكتساب اللغة الأجنبية، والمهارات الحياتية). تم تعريف المدراء بمنهجية تنفيذ البرنامج، تحضيرًا لإطلاقه لمدة ثلاثة أشهر في مدارسهم.

At Kawthariyat Al Siyyad Intermediate Public School, the entire school community came together to rebuild after the devastating damage. Parents and students took the initiative to wipe broken glass, repair damages, and clean the playgrounds and classrooms. The joy in the students' faces says it all as they sit happily in their classrooms, ready to learn and engage with the QITABI Champions of English Toolbox. Additionally, the fifth, sixth, and seventh-grade students arranged and organized the math manipulatives toolbox. Together, they proved that with resilience, teamwork, and the right tools, learning never stops!

في مدرسة كوثرية السياد الرسمية المتوسطة، اجتمعت الهيئة التعليمية لإعادة ترميم المدرسة بعد الأضرار الكبيرة التي لحقت بها. بادر الأهالي والطلاب إلى تنظيف الزجاج المكسور، وإصلاح الأضرار، وتنظيف الملاعب والصفوف. وفي هذا السياق، قرر تلامذة الصف الخامس ، السادس والسابع اعادة تنظيم معينات الرياضيات. يظهر الفرح على وجوه الطلاب وهم يجلسون بسعادة في صفوفهم، مستعدين للتعلّم والمشاركة من خلال حقيبة كتابي "أبطال الانجليزية". أثبتوا معًا أنه بالعزيمة والعمل الجَماعي، ومع الأدوات المناسبة، التعليم لا يتوقف أبدًا.

As part of the System Strengthening activities, the USAID-funded QITABI 3 program recently hosted a well-being session for the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's (MEHE) Directorate of Secondary Education. The session was attended by the Head of the Secondary Directorate and 22 staff members. This session provided valuable insights into psychological well-being, self-leadership, self-awareness, and self-care.

في إطار أنشطة التقوية المؤسساتية ، نظّم برنامج كتابي 3 المموّل من الوكالة الأميركية للتنمية الدولية مؤخرًا جلسة حول الرفاه النفسي لموظفي المديرية العامة للتعليم الثانوي في وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي. وقد حضر الجلسة، التي شملت تقنيات وتمارين عملية، رئيس المديرية و22 موظفًا. وقدمت الجلسة رؤى قيّمة حول الرفاه النفسي، القيادة الذاتية، الوعي الذاتي، والاهتمام بالذات.

At Ayn Qenya Public School, a Grade 4 student demonstrated her creativity and critical thinking skills during a captivating Arabic session designed to enhance students' understanding of the lesson. The teacher introduced a role-playing activity, allowing one student to take on her role as the teacher. With confidence, the student chose a story from the QITABI classroom library and read it aloud to her classmates. This engaging role-playing exercise added a dynamic and interactive element to the session, enabling the student to assume a leadership role while guiding her peers through the lesson.

في مدرسة عين قنيا الرسمية ، أظهرت طالبة في الصف الرابع إبداعها ومهاراتها في التفكير النقدي خلال جلسة مميزّة للّغة العربية تهدف إلى تعزيز فهم الطلاب للدرس. قررت المعلّمة دمج نشاط لعب الأدوار، مما أتاح للطالبة فرصة لتولّي دور المعلّمة. وبكل ثقة، اختارت الطالبة قصة من مكتبة كتابي الصفيّة وقرأت القصة بصوت عالٍ لزملائها. أضفى هذا النشاط بعداً ديناميكياً وحيويًا على الحصة، حيث شجّع الطالبة على تجسيد مهارات القيادة أثناء تقديم الدرس.

This innovative French teachers' toolbox introduces a hands-on approach to language learning. By blending fun activities with lessons, the toolbox transforms the classroom into a dynamic and interactive space where students feel motivated and engaged. The Frantastique toolbox fosters curiosity, builds confidence, and supports the development of essential language skills. Through interactive games and activities, students not only expand their vocabulary but also enhance their critical thinking and collaboration skills, making the learning process more enriching and meaningful.

Students are actively engaged with stories that inspire curiosity and critical thinking. Through QITABI 3 programs, both teachers and students are empowered to foster an environment where education is accessible, inclusive, and transformative. As these young children raise their hands, they symbolize the hope and potential that literacy brings to communities everywhere.


في اليوم العالمي لمحو الأمّية (القرائية)، يؤكد برنامج كتابي 3 المموّل من الوكالة الاميركية للتنمية الدولية التزامه اثراء عقول المتعلّمين. يشارك التلامذة بنشاط في قصص تحفّز الفضول والتفكير النقدي. من خلال برنامج كتابي 3، يتم تمكين كل من الاساتذة والتلامذة لخلق بيئة تعليمية تكون متاحة للجميع بهدف تفعيل عملية تعلّم ناجحة. يرفع هؤلاء الأطفال أيديهم وبذلك يجسّدون الأمل والإمكانات التي يجلبها التعليم إلى المجتمعات في كل مكان.
