When I was finishing this book, I did not realize that it will come out while the genocidal israeli war on Palestine and Lebanon will still be ongoing. The book discusses the Gaza genocide, the 2006 war, the COVID-19 pandemic, and intersectional feminism in Lebanon and the Levant, among other current matters, all within the framework of media literacy of the oppressed. I hope it will give a guiding light to those fighting oppression today. I hope to translate it to Arabic soon.

Second International Conference on Digital Journalism and Innovative Media Industry

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Second International Conference on Digital Journalism and Innovative Media Industry.

Following the success of the previous international conference on Digital Journalism and Innovative Media Industry in 2022, which was scholarly recognized by the Žurnalistikos tyrimai journal, and with Beirut selected as the capital of the Arab media for 2023, MIDIL (The Media Industry, Development, and Innovative Lab) in Lebanon is pleased to announce the launch of the second edition of the conference on digital journalism and innovative media industry. The conference is sponsored by the Ministry of Information in Lebanon and the CNRS (The National Council for Scientific Research).

The upcoming MIDIL conference, organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts at Al Maaref University on November 24th and 25th, 2023, aims to bring together scholars from various nations and areas to discuss the most pressing issues related to digitalization in the media industry, with a specific focus on the impact of AI on communication. By attending the conference, you will have the opportunity to present your studies and engage in a scientific environment.
