Experimenting density and knowing the science behind lava lamps turned out to be so much fun and a knowledgeable experiment to our Makassed Future scientists this Friday. The densities of oil and water to that of tablets and food coloring added to the mixture gave more visual delights to the eyes getting to know more of the real science in the working of actual Lava Lamp.🌋🧪 So grap a few household supplies and give this lava lamp science activity a try!

Want to know how and why this homemade thermometer works🌡️? Makassed future scientists explored the thermal contraction and expansion through with a Homemade Thermometer experiment . When the alcohol and water mixture gets hot, it expands. This increases the pressure inside the bottle and pushes down on the liquid in the jar. Since the clay has sealed it in, it has nowhere to go but up the straw! When it cools down again. the liquid will return back down the straw.

The AUB Archaeological Museum, founded in 1868, is the third oldest museum in the Near East, after Cairo and Constantinople. It is a regional Museum with collections from 7 countries Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, Egypt, Palestine, ​Iraq, and Iran. On Friday Makassed little innovative scientists enjoyed a Guided tour at the Museum where they explored a rich collection of coins of all eras, phoenician pottery, ceramics,and much more.
