Our team recently took part in 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲, 𝐇𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐏 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, delivered by Hospitality Business Consulting Sole Co., Ltd., with training led by experienced chef 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐟 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠, who brings expertise in maintaining five-star hotel standards in food preparation.

PBIS staff recently took part in a training session on AI for Productivity and Marketing & Communications, exploring how these tools can streamline daily tasks and enhance the way we connect with our school community.

We were fortunate to learn from 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐲𝐨𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚, Co-founder & Head of Growth at TWF Agency, who brings over 20 years of experience in digital marketing and has worked with a portfolio of global and regional brands. His insights into AI transformation and digital strategy provided our team with practical, real-world approaches that we can apply in our daily work.

At PBIS, we believe that investing in our people is investing in our school community. By continually developing our skills in AI tools and communications best practice, our staff grow professionally while strengthening the way we tell the PBIS story, both internally and externally.

PBIS was proud to be represented at the British Ambassador's Reception celebrating Women's Leadership in Lao PDR, held at the British Ambassador's Residence in Vientiane.

Our Lao teaching assistant, Lotchana Keomanyvong, attended in her role as an alumna and Women of the Future Ambassador 2026 for Laos, sharing her leadership journey from community level work to representing Laos at the Women of the Future Southeast Asia Awards 2025, where she received the Highly Commended award in the Sport category.

She spoke about how rugby has shaped her own leadership and confidence, and encouraged more Lao women to step forward for future Women of the Future Awards.

It is always an honour to support the professional growth of the incredible educators in our community.

We were incredibly proud to have our 𝐏𝐁𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐚𝐨 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 learning alongside fellow educators from across the country at the recent 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. It was also a special privilege for our CEO to deliver the opening speech and support this wonderful initiative.

During her address, she shared a core belief that guides our approach to education: "𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥." Long after the lessons are finished, children will always remember the care and support they received in the classroom.

Last weekend, our CEO, 𝐌𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭, joined a panel discussion on "𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.", sharing a core PBIS belief: academic excellence and emotional wellbeing go hand in hand.

The first six years of a child's life are like laying the foundation of a house. When children experience a "secure attachment" at home, they arrive at school with the confidence and emotional regulation needed to thrive, learn, and build positive relationships.

For our PBIS community, here are three key takeaways from her session to support your child’s development:

💚 Prioritise Your Wellbeing: You cannot pour from an empty cup. Children do not need perfect parents; they need parents who are mentally well and happy.

💚 Presence is Powerful: Children need present parents. 30 minutes without your phone means more than hours of distracted time together.

💚 Behaviour is Communication: Instead of asking "What is wrong with them?", try asking "What are they going through?" Pausing to understand the emotion behind the behaviour changes how we care for them.

At PBIS, we view education as a true partnership between school and home. The greatest gift we can give our children is not a perfect childhood, but the security of knowing they are loved, heard, and understood, creating a true "safe haven" for them to grow.

At PBIS, true leadership starts with empowering people and prioritising wellbeing.
Recently, our CEO had the honour of speaking as a panellist at the Women to Women Talk. She reminded us of the power of women empowering women, noting that "self care is not selfish, and the people you surround yourself with matter."

She also shared the secret to our thriving culture. Managing a diverse community of over 200 staff and 900 students brings immense pressure, but her leadership philosophy is simple: embrace challenges.

As a COBIS and FOBISIA accredited school, we support our team through genuine unity. From taking over 100 staff on a team building trip to Luang Prabang, to fostering a supportive daily environment where everyone is treated the same, we operate as one family.

Ultimately, we want our team to live our motto: "Become the best that you can be." We want our staff to wake up every day finding true meaning in their work, knowing they are not just doing their duty, they are shaping the next generation.
