Position Title: Junior Project Officer
Organization: Econox Laos
Location: Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR (with field travel as required)
Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Project Officer
2. Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and curious Junior Project Officer to join our team. Designed as a growth-oriented role, this position offers a rare opportunity to work across all of Econox’s active environmental projects—ranging from single-use plastic reduction campaigns and circular economy policy guidelines to youth climate ambassador programs. If you are an early-career professional or bright graduate eager to build hands-on expertise across diverse areas of conservation work in Laos, this role is built for you.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Project Support: Assist in day-to-day task ex*****on and logistics across various Econox initiatives (waste management, circular economy projects, and youth leadership programs).
Event & Workshop Support: Help organize venues, participant invites, materials, and on-ground logistics for workshops, youth bootcamps, and training sessions.
- Field Ex*****on: Travel to target provinces alongside team members to support field data collection, community engagement, and youth activities.
- Administrative & Reporting Tasks: Take detailed meeting notes, organize project archives, prepare draft field reports, and support expense tracking.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a reliable point of contact for routine communications with local youth networks, vendors, and community representatives.
3. Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong passion for learning diverse sub-sectors of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
- Basic understanding of project coordination, event planning, or community outreach.
Good communication skills in Lao, with working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a team-player attitude.
- Adaptable and willing to travel to project sites in different provinces.
