🌙 Ramadan dump🌙

It’s beautiful when we reflect on struggles vs blessings—that’s really the heart of Ramadan, isn’t it? Even when things feel hard, the good outweighs everything.

And the last picture is a little treat after finishing the activity book. We always need that fun reward after focused effort. 😅

Not clicking much anymore could actually be a blessing too—it shows you’re more present, enjoying moments rather than just documenting them.

Bidding farewell to the blessed nights of Qiyam

This Ramadan has felt very different from previous years. There were moments of fear and uncertainty, yet there was also a deep sense of calm in our hearts — knowing that it is the blessed month of Ramadan, and that Allah is our Protector, always watching over us.

As these beautiful nights pass, I cannot help but think of those who were with us last year but have returned to Allah before witnessing this Ramadan. It reminds me how great a blessing it is that Allah ﷻ allowed us to reach and experience this sacred month.

Alhamdulillah for every moment of it. May Allah accept our fasting, our prayers, our Qiyam, and forgive our shortcomings. May He grant us the opportunity to witness many more Ramadans in good health and strong faith, and grant Jannah to those who are no longer with us.

May we seek and grant forgiveness, reconnect with loved ones, and follow in the footsteps of the righteous. May Allah accept our worship and grant us Laylatul Qadr.

Throwback to our HomeEd trip to !

A fun-filled day of exploring different professions—it’s hard to say who was more excited, me or Abu Bakr! 😜 By the end of it, though, I was definitely the one more tired. 😂

These are the moments I want to freeze in time, so I can look back and smile at every step of our HomeEd journey. ❤️

KidZania is an amazing place for kids to learn and play, offering packages for groups, schools, and fun promotions. We had a blast (once the crowd settled down).

Another beautiful day spent with the homeschooling community, presenting Animals in the Quran. The event was truly inspiring, set against the stunning backdrop of the sea and gentle rainfall, adding to the serenity of our reflections.

We selected the Elephant from the Quran and narrated the story of Abraha and his army, tying it to the profound lessons of Surah Al-Fil. We translated the verse, reflected on its meanings, and explored the story’s significance in Islamic history. To make the session more engaging, we delved into fascinating facts about elephants, their types, and participated in some fun and creative activities, inspired by resources from .education. (P.S. You can access these free resources on their website!)

Other children presented equally intriguing animals mentioned in the Quran, including the wolf, whale, snake, bee, lion, pig, camel, and hoopoe. Each presentation brought unique insights, combining Islamic teachings with fun, teamwork, and creativity.

This day was a perfect blend of deen, education, and nature, leaving the children with valuable lessons and a deeper appreciation for Allah's creation. Alhamdulilah for such opportunities to nurture young hearts and minds!

He created the day and the night, the beautiful sky painted with colors for us to enjoy and reflect upon. Each day comes to an end, and no problem lasts forever. Nature teaches us that there is always hope. Throughout the day, I watched the low tide, and by Maghrib, the view became breathtaking. In mere seconds, the sky transformed into stunning shades of blue and purple. The low tide shifted to a high tide, and I felt the urge to just observe and reflect, SubhanAllah! ❤️ So verily, with the hardship, there is relief. Verily, with the hardship, there is relief [Quran 94:5–6]

❤️ Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear [Quran 2:286]

❤️ And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent [Quran 65:3]

❤️ My mercy encompasses all things[Quran 7:156]

As we journey through life's challenges, nature provides us with profound lessons of hope and renewal. Just as the sky transitions into brilliant colors and tides shift, so too do our circumstances change. Through every hardship, Allah promises relief. His mercy is boundless, and He never burdens us beyond what we can bear. When we rely upon Him, we are reminded that He is always sufficient, guiding us to the relief that follows every trial.

As part of our Tafsir class for Alimiyyah program we were asked to chose few ayas from Surah Yaseen and reflect over it. This is one of the surah often recited and here are some of my reflections to share.

We often would have heard that, Surah Yasin is often quoted as being the 'heart of the Quran'. Dr. Israr Ahmed has a quite a logical reason to it - Surah Yaseen is a Meccan surah, considering the structure of the Quran and placement of this surah. Meccan surahs can be divided into 3 categories, the first category focuses primarily on belief in the divine message and certainly that Prophet Muhammad pbuh is the messenger. The second category focuses on tawheed. The last category focuses on the hereafter and the end of times. Surah yaseen falls in second category- 10 meccan surahs before and 10 after it. So this could be possibly the reason why it is referred to as heart of the Quran. Just as the heart is the epiccentre of Tawheed in human body becuase it contains ruh. Surah Yaseen is the epiccenter of Tawheed in Quran. Allah knows the best.

In ayah 11, Allah swt tells us the Prophet Muhammad pbuh that he can only warn the ones who believe in Allah swt. For disbelievers, Allah swt has sealed their eyes, ears and the heart. So He says, there is a covering in front of them, behind them and on the top. They are unable to gain guidance by multiple signs of Allah swt that exists infront of them. So He tells him to give glad tidings to those who believe and fear the most merciful, they will be forgiven for their sins and a noble reward awaits for them.

In ayah 12, reflects that every deed by an individuak is recorded with Allah swt and nothing leaves behind.
Allah swt informs that an individuals all spoken words or actions will decide his fate on the day of judgement. What left behind refers to the impact that his words or actions have on others even after his death, accountability does not end with death. If a an indivdual spent his life promoting good and sharing beneficial knowledge, it will have a positive impact even after his death for which he will be rewarded - sadqa Jariah.

He also said that Allah offers relief on the Day of Judgement for those who give sadaqa: “The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).

In Tarbiyah club, we started the Seerah in Rabi ul awal introducing the kids to the main aspects of Prophet Muhammad pbuh life. By end of it we had a fun filled Sunnah food activity where everyone gathered Sunnah food from home, learnt their names in arabic, english and Urdu and also their benefit.

They were so excited to see similarities in their favourite Sunnah food amongst each other. This makes our resemblance in choice with Prophet Muhammad pbuh as well.

We made an intention to try all sunnah food made or bought at home, in order to gain the reward of eating Sunnah food.

The most favourite favourite Sunnah food amongst them was dates, Honey and milk.
