Habit 6: Synergize (Creative Cooperation)
Synergy is when 1 + 1 becomes 3. It’s choosing to value differences instead of fighting them—and staying in the conversation long enough to find the third option that neither person could see alone.
Today’s practice: listen for what’s true in the other person, say what you need clearly, and build something better together.

Where Do We Really Belong?
I recently saw an advertisement claiming it could analyze my date and place of birth and tell me where in the world I would feel happiest. It used astrology, astronomy, and planetary alignments to map out the “best places” for my life.
It was interesting to read about, but it also made me pause and think.
After traveling to many places over the years—from Kansas to Alaska, Michigan to Korea, Lithuania, Thailand, Hawaii, and beyond—I’ve noticed something important:
The places where I feel most alive rarely have anything to do with stars or planets.
They have more to do with things like:
• the people around me
• a sense of purpose
• meaningful work
• kindness and connection
• moments of peace in ordinary life
We sometimes search for a magical location where everything will finally feel right. But more often, the feeling we’re looking for comes from something much simpler.
Home isn’t only a place on a map.
Sometimes it’s the life we build…
the people we walk beside…
and the meaning we carry with us.
I’m still learning that lesson myself.

Walking Home
This week’s habit is Think Win-Win.
When we stop competing long enough to collaborate, something better becomes possible—something neither of us could build alone.
Where could you practice win-win this week?
Learning to prioritize our Big Rocks takes practice. What's your Big Rock for this week?

I’ve just shared a new reflection on Insight Timer called Start Where You Are.
It’s a quiet reminder that we don’t need perfect conditions to begin — just honesty and one small step.

Start Where You Are New Year’s resolutions come and go—but meaningful change doesn’t belong to the calendar.
