78 alumni—ranging from the Class of 1981 to 2024—gathered last weekend to celebrate our SFS bond. The Class of 2022 showed up strong with 10 alums, followed by 2004 with 6!

Some of you flew in from NYC, Chicago, SF, Toronto, Boston, LA, and Vegas. But most of you call Seoul home. Wherever you’re based, thank you for showing up.

The room was full of stories—teachers, designers, bankers, artists, dentists, startup founders, and more. A few of you even teach at SFS now. And we were so honored to have former faculty and staff join us, too.

Whether you crossed time zones or a few subway stops to get here, your presence made the night unforgettable.

With the Class of 2025 getting ready to toss their caps, we’re feeling nostalgic, and we want you to be part of the celebration! We’re putting together a special alumni feature on social media and would love to include your graduation photo from any year.
 
No matter the decade or the hairstyle—from big bangs to bold brows, awkward smiles to epic tassel flips—we’d love to see your graduation moment and celebrate the memory with you!

The biggest on-campus community event of the year is here, and we’d love for you to join us! On Saturday, April 26, from 11 AM to 3 PM, come celebrate the cultural diversity that makes SFS so special. Organized by our Parent Association, the International Fair is a vibrant, fun-filled day featuring delicious food, live music, games, and cultural displays from around the world. 
 
If you’ve never experienced the International Fair, the photos above will give you a glimpse of the fun and excitement from last year’s event.
 
We warmly welcome all alumni and their families to reconnect, explore campus, and be part of this special celebration. Korean Gate Turns 50!

Did you know the beloved Korean Gate will celebrate its 50th anniversary this summer? This iconic part of our campus holds a special place in the hearts of many alumni. Once part of the old high school building and home to the Senior Lounge, the Korean Gate has witnessed countless unforgettable moments. 

To mark this milestone, we’re featuring the Korean Gate in the upcoming edition of The Banner, and we’d love for you to be a part of it! We invite you to share your memories and photos of the Korean Gate to help celebrate this special occasion. Whether you have a favorite moment, a nostalgic story, or a treasured photo, your contribution will help make this tribute meaningful.

Join the Friends of Seoul Foreign School (FSFS) Board!

FSFS, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization, is seeking a new board member to help support Seoul Foreign School (SFS). FSFS manages donations and an endowment fund for SFS and hopes to expand its role in advancing the school’s development initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Christian with a strong commitment to SFS. While not required, experience in finance or investments would be an asset. Board members serve three-year terms, working together to make a lasting impact on the SFS community.

Our SFS Brunch in Atlanta was the perfect finale to an incredible SFS Roadtrip through Washington DC, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia! This last stop brought together 20 amazing alumni from the Atlanta area, Tennessee, and Florida, all sharing stories, laughter, and their love for SFS.

From recent grads in the Class of 2024 to seasoned alumnae from 1973, it was inspiring to see generations of alumni reconnecting and reminiscing.
