"2020 한전 기초연구 우수과제상 수상 – 전자공학부 스마트그리드 연구실"

"우리 대학 전자공학부 스마트그리드 연구실(지도교수 정일엽)이 한전 전력연구원(원장 김태균)에서 수여하는 2020년 한전 기초연구과제 우수연구상을 수상하였다. 한전 전력연구원은 2020년 수행된 총 204건의 사외 공모 연구과제 중 자체 심의결과 우수한 성과를 거둔 15개 연구과제를 선정하여 우수연구상을 수여하였다. 스마트그리드 연구실의 지도교수인 정일엽 교수는 공로패를 수상하였으며 Post-Doc 연구원인 트린피하이 박사(본교 박사 졸업)는 우수연구원상을 수상하였다."

"해당 과제는 “모델예측제어(MPC: Model Predictive Control)와 RNN(Recurrent Neural Network)에 기반한 전기차 클러스터와 직류 나노그리드 간의 최적 협조제어 알고리즘 개발 및 전력계통 영향 평가”라는 제목으로 2018년부터 2021년까지 수행하고 있는 것으로, 직류 배전을 이용하는 스마트 빌딩을 대상으로 한 에너지 비용 최적화 기법을 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. 기계학습 이론을 이용하여 건물에서 측정하는 환경 데이터를 기반으로 기상 상태를 분류하고 딥러닝의 일종인 RNN 모델을 적용하여 태양광 발전량과 전력 부하 소비량을 24시간 전에 정밀하게 예측하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 예측된 에너지 데이터를 기반으로 향후 24시간 동안의 건물의 에너지 비용을 최적화 하는 모델예측제어 기반의 전기차 충/방전 및 부하 제어 기법을 제안하였다."

"스마트그리드 연구실은 설립이래 한전 전력연구원과 지속적으로 협력을 하고 있다. 2012년부터 직류 배전 실증단지 구현 및 국내 에너지 자립섬 구축을 목표로 한 신재생에너지 기반의 마이크로그리드 구축 등 여러 연구 과제를 공동 수행한 바 있으며, 현재는 배전계통 분산전원 관리시스템 (DERMS: Distributed Energy Resource Management System, 2020~2024) 개발 과제와 신재생에너지 관제시스템(RMS: Renewable Energy Monitoring System, 2019~2024) 개발 과제를 수행하고 있다."

KIEE Summer Conference 2021 @ Yongpyeong Resort (July 14 ~ 17, 2021)

Professor Junho Hong from University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA, visited our lab and gave us a great lecture on the subject of "Cybersecurity of EV Charging Station." In the lecture, Prof. Hong explained hot research topics that he is currently conducting in a passionate manner. Thank you Prof. Hong for visiting us!!!

미국 U of Michigan-Dearborn의 홍준호 교수님께서 우리 연구실을 방문하여 "Cybersecurity of EV Charging Station"을 주제로 훌륭한 강의를 해주셨습니다. 홍 교수님은 열정이 넘치는 모습으로 최근에 수행하고 계시는 따끈 따끈한 연구주제를 설명해 주셨습니다. 먼길을 마다 않고 저희 연구실을 방문해 주시고 좋은 말씀을 해주신 홍 교수님께 감사드립니다.

2019 KIEE Summer Conference held in Sokcho, Gangwon-do

Prof. Bach Quoc Khanh from Hanoi University of Science and Technology has visited to the Smartgrid Lab at Kookmin University from June 23 to July 1, 2018.

He introduced his research topics and his department (School of Electrical Engineering - https://see.hust.edu.vn/danh-muc-can-bo) .

KIEE Summer Meeting 2014:

Smartgrid lab members, Sang-Hyuk, Bo-Min, and Prof. Chung, attended the KIEE Summer Meeting 2014 held in Yong-Pyong Resort. In the conference, there were many excellent academic sessions and presentations. Bo-Min presented her paper titled as "Technical and Economic Assessment for Optimal
Sizing and Placement of Energy Storage Systems in Low Voltage DC Distribution Systems".

Sixteen undergraduate students joined the trip to attend Green Energy Idea Competition in the conference. They presented their works about green energy ideas such as green bus station, smart room lighting system, smart airconditioner, and smart air-cooling system for a parked car. Two groups of students won a gold and a silver prizes in the competition. Congratulations!!

Seminar on Real-Time Digital Simulation Techniques:

Dr. In-Kwon Park visited Smartgrid Lab on July 4th, 2014 and gave us an excellent presentation about "Real-Time Digital Simulation Techniques." Dr. Park is a Digital Simulation Specialist at RTDS Technologies Inc., which is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
