Dwight School Seoul The Dwight School Seoul is a PreK-12 International Baccalaureate World School located in Digital Media City in Seoul, South Korea.

Dwight School Seoul, an IB World School, caters to the whole child and provides a quality international continuum of education for children aged 3 to 18. The curriculum is designed by International Baccalaureate Organization but developed by teachers to meet international benchmarks. Students follow the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP) and the Diploma Program with emphasis placed on global vision, personalized learning and service to the community. [Dwight School Seoul] Author Visit: Dr. Chemutai Glasheen โœ๏ธ - 21 SEP 2026

We were delighted to welcome Dr. Chemutai Glasheen, author of I Am the Mau and Other Stories, to Dwight School Seoul for an inspiring morning of storytelling and writing.

Students had the opportunity to explore the craft of writing through a hands-on writing exercise, putting their ideas into practice and discovering different ways to develop their own stories. The session continued with an engaging Q&A, where students connected with Dr. Glasheen and learned more about her experiences as an author.

Thank you to Dr. Glasheen for sharing her stories, insights, and passion for writing with our students. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage with an author and see the creative process from a different perspective! ๐ŸŒŸ

As the Korean holiday, Chuseok approaches, our Korean Language Class celebrates the season with a joyful songpyeon-making activity!

Through laughter, creativity, and hands-on learning, our students experienced the beauty of Korean culture and tradition ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ทโœจ

This activity encouraged students to become open-minded, knowledgeable, and caring individuals who appreciate cultural heritage and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Learning a language is also about discovering the culture, stories, and traditions behind it. What a wonderful way to celebrate together! ๐Ÿ’›

Our Grades 3โ€“5 Development Soccer Squads, Boys and Girls, are officially underway, with training sessions in full swing and first matches played this past Saturday! It was fantastic to see so many smiles out on the pitch as our players proudly wore the Lion for their debut games.

Grade 3 students teamed up with Grade 12 to explore how ecosystems work by building their own bottle ecosystems, also known as mesocosms ๐Ÿฅฐ

Through this hands-on activity, students learned how different elements of an ecosystem interact and how a small, self-contained environment can support life. It was wonderful to see our younger and older students working together, sharing ideas, and learning from one another throughout the process!

[Dwight School Seoul] G4 Excursion: EBS Media & Broadcasting - 11 SEP 2026

As part of their Media unit, our Grade 4 students explored the world of media both on and behind the screen. Students visited the Korean Film Archive in Digital Media City, discovering Koreaโ€™s rich film heritage and how film and media have evolved over time. Later in the week, they stepped into the world of broadcasting at EBS (Educational Broadcasting System) for a behind-the-scenes look at how media is created today ๐ŸŽฅ

At EBS, students visited professional studios and production spaces, discovering how lighting, sound and technology bring programs to life. They also learned about the many people working behind the camera, from producers and PDs to technicians and radio hosts โœจ

From exploring the sets and characters of beloved Korean childrenโ€™s programs to discovering miniature designs and going behind the scenes of a radio studio, students experienced first-hand how ideas are transformed into media that can engage, influence and shape audiences โค๏ธ

We kicked off our first Coffee Morning with a special opportunity to meet our leadership team, giving parents and members of our community a chance to connect with our school leadership๐Ÿฉต

We also hosted a Pre-Loved Uniform Sale in collaboration with the Parent's Association and Eco Council. The sale brought our community together while giving pre-loved uniforms a new life, with proceeds going towards a charitable cause.

The Cross Country season is officially underway! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Our Varsity runners kicked off the season at SFS this past weekend. Despite not having the full team at the opening event, the athletes made us proud by pushing through a demanding multi-terrain 5K course in hot conditions ๐Ÿ’จโ˜€๏ธ

Their hard work, determination, and team spirit led to strong performances and a fantastic start to the season!

Weโ€™re so proud of our Lions and canโ€™t wait to see what the rest of the season brings. Keep running strong, Lions ๐Ÿ’™
