Shaping Your Future in International Organizations: Skills, Talent, and Opportunities - Insights from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

Korea University GSIS (CAMPUS Asia) is pleased to host a special event featuring a keynote lecture by the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), followed by a career seminar led by the IDB’s General Manager for Human Resources.

This event commemorates the 20th anniversary of Korea’s membership in the IDB, a leading international organization dedicated to promoting economic and social progress in Latin America and the Caribbean through its work in development finance, education, health, infrastructure, climate change, and more.

It will be an excellent opportunity for students interested in international organizations to gain first-hand insights into the IDB’s mission, recruitment processes, and the skills required to succeed in the global arena.

From Data to Action - How do UNICEF, EU, and the World Bank measure and tackle malnutrition in Lao PDR?

CAMPUS Asia is pleased to organize the Path Finder Series #5 featuring a very practice-oriented lecture on How do UNICEF, EU, and the World Bank measure and tackle malnutrition? This special lecture introduces practical quantitative tools for measuring and tackling malnutrition in Lao PDR, developed through collaborative projects with UNICEF, the EU, and the World Bank. This is a unique opportunity for students to gain insight into real-world development practice and evidence-based approaches to combating malnutrition.
Currently a visiting scholar at GSIS, Dr. Viriyasack Sisouphanthong is an Associate Professor of Economics at the National University of Laos (NUOL), a partner university of CAMPUS Asia. He is also a Consultant for UNICEF, EU, the World Bank, and the ADB, supporting their work related to education, labor markets, and nutrition.

Greeting from the KOICA-KU GSIS administration office and Korea Local Finance Association (LOFA).

The Korea Local Finance Association (LOFA), an organization dedicated to supporting local governments in finance management and development, in collaboration with the KOICA-KU GSIS program, is pleased to invite KU international students to a special lecture on Korea’s Local Finance & Investment System.

This event is a great opportunity for international students to deepen their understanding of Korea’s public finance and investment systems. The session is exclusively open to KU international students, and the number of participant is limited.

This program differs from the CAMPUS Asia Summer Internship Program previously announced and is open to all GSIS students (including those who have applied for the internship program but were not selected).
This field study program entails (i) a one-week field study with support from the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) of Lao PDR and (ii) a one-week intensive course at the National University of Laos (NUOL).
Thus this program caters to students who are keen on conducting research on Lao PDR and want to take this opportunity to pursue data collection. This year’s field study coincides with the CAMPUS Asia Annual Symposium to be hosted by Kobe University and NUOL in Lao PDR (to be held on August 21).
This event invites students from all five partner universities of CAMPUS Asia Plus Program to present their research proposals regarding subjects related to “Risk management in Asia” across diverse scholarly disciplines and professional fields concerning global and regional risks confronting Asia.
