CYE studio Jewelry designer's studio. classes available in silver and gold smith... plus more~
Location: Subway line 3, Orange line, Maebong station. exit 3.

This studio is best suited for fine jewelry making or contemporary jewelry making. Costume jewelry design is not quite good for this studio. I offer silver Smith, gold smith and wax carving classes. The instructor Young-Eun Choi is a jeweler and designer with her own brand. She has been in the business for 10 years until now and spent 11 years in Providence and NYC studying art and jewelry making.

She holds BFA in painting from Rhode Island school of design and MFA in Sculture/Combined media from Hunter College of the city university of New York. Her jewelry is selling in many department store in Seoul and Pusan and the brand is regularly showing in international trade shows like Premiere Classe Paris and JA New York show.

Precious metal market is running all time high yet if you have any scrap silver, old jewelry and silverware you can melt them down to make your own brand new jewelries!

Tuition is 400,000 krw for 8sessions for a month.
Silver price is to be charged additionally at the end of courses when you finish your piece for its weight.

Class schedule
3hours per session two times a week
8sessions total per month
Tuesday 1pm~4pm
Thursday 7pm ~10pm
Saturday 10am ~1pm

I teach maximum 3students at once
Studio can accommodate 6 people but for teaching 3 is working ideally.

A. Silver smith foundation class
(for beginners)
making a ring (preference)

Pouring molten silver to ingots
Prepare your silver in wires and sheets
Working with rolling mill
Sawing
Bending
Annealing
Soldering
Shaping by using files
Sanding and polishing

B. Stone setting for beginners
(Once you are done with course A
Prerequisite with basic skills )
Cabochon or Cabochon bezel setting
Applied to your type of jewelry

C. Wax carving
Wax carving for castings
Casting fee is additional
