“Higher purpose guilt”.

People suppress what is important to them for this idea of fighting for a higher purpose. Being a “good person”. That “good person” you’re trying to be is forsaking self and being manipulated.
You can have a global purpose and take care of yourself at the same time. You don’t have to be a martyr.

Breaking your back for someone else is not the road to soulful redemption.
