I’ve taught 150+ students Korean…

And here are 4 habits all my fastest learners have in common:

1. They don’t cram their studies. They practice speaking Korean everyday even if it’s only for 5 minutes.

2. They get obsessed with one Korean thing — a drama, a song, an artist — and consume it constantly without realizing they’re studying.
They get really attached to something related to Korean whether it be a drama, song,

3. They’re not afraid to make mistakes. Even if they’re wrong they continue speaking until they finish their sentence. They always try to continue to say in Korean even if they know that they’re going to be wrong.

4. They don’t focus on making long sentences with tons of grammar rules. Rather they focus on being able to convey what they actually want to say.

Try doing these 3 exercises to improve speaking in Korean

1. Speaking to yourself
- Talk about WHAT you did, WHERE you went, WHO you met, WHEN you did something
- Make sure you’re saying it outlaid

2. Listen & Shadow
- Find Korean content you actually enjoy watching so you don’t feel like you’re ‘studying’
-Listen & listen and shadow after the speaker’s intonation, flow, and pronunciation

3. Practice with other Korean learners
- Having people who have the same goal as you will not only motivate you but will help each other improve in Korean.
- Teach and explain to each other what you learnt and don’t forget to have fun learning Koran.
